Best off-site restraunts?

I know of some other restaurants that you may or may not like, but they're in the LA area and I am not sure how much you want to drive out away from DLR. But if you are open to any other suggestions I'd be happy to share some more :)

Generally open to all suggestions, but to be honest, we almost certainly will not drive substantially north of DLR -- substantially probably meaning more than three to five miles -- as I really, really, really don't like traffic, and there seems to be a lot of great choices within a few miles of DLR and often in a direction away from LA.

Has anyone ever eaten at Buca di Beppo Italian Restraunt? also where is the neares in-and- out burger?

Buca's a chain and I've eaten there before in a group setting in Minnesota. It's family style, so you'll need at least a small group to really make it worth your money.

There's an In N Out on Brookhurst about 2 miles NW of DLR.

Our family of four has eaten at the Anaheim Buca. The food was pretty good, and there are options for portion sizes suitable for a group our size. If you sign up for their e-mail coupons, you are likely to get one for $10 off $20 or a free side with minimum purchase or something like that.

Cortina's Italian Market...they have a market next door to the restaurant

and if you're into sushi..

I second Cortina's. I was looking up Italian markets on Yelp before my last visit so I stopped in for cookies and other goodies, and they were amazing. I didn't have anything from the restaurant, but I would like to try them in the future.

And the Original Pancake House was already on the agenda for my next visit! I'm glad to hear it's a recommendation.

Also on my agenda for our next trip is Portillo's in Buena Park. I've heard nothing but great things from people in/from the Chicago area.. (Like many people in Arizona, my family is actually from Chicago but they left over 30 years ago and can't remember this place!) We are reportedly getting locations here in Arizona but that could take forever and I can't wait. LOL

My brother took us to Bruxie and I was very skeptical when he said "waffle sandwiches" but it they were so good and unique. I highly recommend them.

We try not to eat at a restaurant we have at home. One trick we learned was to ask the housekeeping and valet staff for recommendations for places nearby. They didn't have any! And we asked everyone we saw. We ate at Tony Roma's. It was good and even the picky eater found something she liked. Portions are large so we shared and it turned out reasonably priced.

Wasn't Cortina's the one that Chef Gordon Ramsay just made over on "Kitchen Nightmares"?:goodvibes

Wife and I are going to try Slater's 50/50 out in Anaheim Hills when we return in October. I just saw The United States of Bacon on the Destination Network and just salivated over their ground bacon/beef burgers.

I have 4...

1. Mimi's.. its so close to park and I love the food
2. Joe's Crab Shack
3. Cheesecake Factory
4. PF Changs...both CF and PFC are at the gardenwalk

Can you walk to PFand CF from DLR? I don't know the area, is gardenwalk a walk or drive away from DLR?:)

I live about 4 blocks from the Slater's in Anaheim Hills, and can personally say that the food is fantastic! There's also a great selection of beer on tap...

FYI, Slater's has a second location in OC in Huntington Beach, just in case that's more convenient location-wise for you...

If you have a car, go to Knott's Berry Farm and eat at Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner restaurant. You don't have to pay to get into the park, and parking is free for a couple hours.

Yes, we went to Knott's for Chicken when we were there last month. It was great! You can get the chicken to go - there is a long wait for the restaurant.

I would say my favs that we had last month were....

In N Out Burger (not fancy but we are from Colorado and do not have it so, it's a treat!)

Millie's - great breakfast

Marie Callendar's off of Euclid - little bit of a drive but good.

It's an easy walk from the main gate hotels. We stay often at Candy Cane Inn and go to Garden Walk for the lettuce wraps at PF Chang's. Only takes 10 mins or less.

Our favorite is Catal at Downtown Disney. Website

I second this. While DTD may not technically be considered off site, we love Catal and Uva.

I am surprised no one has mentioned White House - good Italian food and fantastic ambiance. We also like Fire and Ice at Gardenwalk. It is kind of a chain since there are like six in the U.S., but we like the grill setup and the drinks.

I honestly have to say I have never been that impressed with food in Orange County. There's some good Thai and Vietnamese but not that close to DL, so we tend to stick with onsite dining.

Can you tell me a little about the White House restraunt? We would love to go to a nice Italian restraunt

We had thought about going to the White House. That is, until I started reading reviews of it. I'd suggest going to some of the online review sites and then making up your mind.

UH-OH! I guess we will stick with Buca Di Peppi.

We figured since we would be driving off-site for church we might as well try an off-site italian restraunt.
