Pretty much every chain restaurant in America is available around the theme parks and they are all family friendly.Anyone have suggestions for kid friendly off site restaurants for kids. I have a 5 & 2 year old. We are going end of November.
Have a go and try The Golden Corral chain
This is a Buffet type eatery & ice cream & candy floss
Eat as much as you want .... but try and EMPTY your plates before going for more.
I would avoid any and all buffets unless it's inside a Disney resort for breakfast.
Probably one the dirtiest breakfast buffets we have been to was at Chef Mickeys. In comparison, our experiences at Golden Corral have been far cleaner along the buffet offerings, and there were far less kids running amok with their hands in the food. And it was $7 pp rather than $33

I don't think any buffet (particularly in Orlando, where families travelling together are the norm) is exempt from the kinds of concerns you mentioned. Not even those in the Disney bubble.
OP....if you are looking for a fabulous breakfast buffet for kids, the Shrek Feast at Villa de Flora (located at Gaylord Palms) is awesome and so much fun. And afterward, you can tour their gorgeous atrium. They have tons of events happening at Christmas, too (like ICE!, which is well worth a visit) so that might be a good consideration for you.
Not sure where you are staying, but our family loved Chuy's on Islo Bronson Pkwy (I think that is the street). They loved the quirky décor, the food (Mexican), and the server was great with the kids.
I'm going to add this to our plan. I love Mexican food. Thanks!

Come to think of it, right next to the Chuy's is a Joe's Crab Shack that has a cute outdoor play area for kids.. The kids and I don't eat seafood, so we didn't eat there. I hear their food is good and they have killer desserts!![]()
First timers to WDW, staying at Pop Century.. any IHOP's nearby?

We liked this too. So much so that we're doing it again on our first night in Orlando on our upcoming trip!
