We're staying at CSR for the first time in April and I'm wondering what items are worth ordering at the Pepper Market? Anything really good??

I am interested in hearing too! We are staying there for the first time in August. :thumbsup2

Sorry I can't help, but enjoy your trip!! :)

I can help you..but can you narrow it down? Looking for breakfast, lunch, or dinner favs?? Enjoy you visit at CSR, I love it! best moderate resort

We are looking at dinner there in May since we are staying at the CSR. The reviews aren't good (in our book). Would love some recent reviews too.

We love the Pepper Market! The pizzas were fabulous, as well as the burritos. DBF also enjoyed a steak sandwich. The breakfasts also seemed better in quality than other counter service restaurants although the food offerings were basically the same...the food seemed hotter and fresher for some reason.

We really like Pepper Market. You can get a table service meal for the cost/redemption of a counter service meal if you're on the dining plan.

I typically get the steak. It comes with fries and a huge pile of grilled vegetables. They'll also let you substitute the fries for a massive serving of mashed potato's and gravy, which I always do.

The pizza, burrito's and sandwich's have always been very good when we've ordered them as well.

We LOVED the food at the Pepper Market when we stayed at CSR last summer. It is a real value if you are on the dining plan. I loved the chicken quesadilla. My husband got the steak, which he said was good for one quick service credit. My son got the ribs twice which were falling apart and delicious. We also enjoyed the burgers. All of the portions were huge, and easily shared. My daughter and I shared a basic breakfast platter (with scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, and biscuits with gravy!) more than once.

I don't think you will be disappointed when comparing it to other quick service restaurants. :thumbsup2

Pepper Market is one of the reasons we love CSR! The meals are a step above the usual CS fare, and there is a large variety. We also like having real plates and silverware for dinner, not just paper plates and plastic forks. Get enough of that in the parks.

For dinner we often get the steak plate at the Grill Station (with fries or mashed potatos and grilled veggies), or if the line is too long at the Grill the Ranchos steak at the Market Section (salsa topped skirt steak with rice and black beans). There are also pasta selections, pizza, half rotis chicken, ribs, burgers, quesadillas, fajitas, sandwiches, salads, and nightly specials.

Yes, some people complain that the steaks are small and sometimes poor quality. I always ask if the steak is good tonight first, once in a while the grill cook will say "order something else". But it's counter service, I'm not expecting filet mignon or strip steak!

We usually hit the Pepper Market at least once a trip. We've never stayed at CSR, but, don't mind the travel. We usually stay at Saratoga near DTD and just catch a bus from there to CSR very easily.

Have yet to have a bad meal there.

I like the steak also.

I won't go into the many selections that we loved that are no longer available, since that really has nothing to do with your question! As of last April: the made-to-order pizza, Market Nachos & chicken quesidillas are all very good. Somewhat on topic is Siesta's at the main pool, where you can get the excellent Siesta's Loaded Nachos & a very good (served cold) Chicken Caesar Wrap! CSR is beautiful resort, have a great stay!!

Great! Thanks so much for all of your suggestions! I think DH will be very happy to be able to get a steak with 1 CS credit. Awesome.

My daughter enjoyed the nachos, she ate the entire bowl. My husband enjoyed his burrito, it was large enough to share. I had the reuben. It was a large sandwich, also.

Pepper Market is THE best value for a CS on the DDP, and it's still a great place to eat for a decent price if you're paying OOP.

We have tried many dishes there, our favorites being the fajitas (beef or chicken, both good), caesar salad with shrimp (grilled - to die for), supreme pizza, pasta with alfredo sauce, veggie burgers, regular burgers, ribs, tuna melt sandwich etc etc etc... we honestly haven't had a bad meal there.
