cheese soup and the mushroom filet!

we went last december and it was the best meal of the trip. we just returned last weekend and we didn't plan on going this year but we called the day before and they had availability (we were craving a good steak) so we went - wondering if it would be as good as we remembered - and it was

as an added bonus they had one of our favorite wines that we can't find around home - St Michelle Syrah!

absolutely fabulous meal.

my DH and I said that we would love to go there some day for lunch just to get the soup and breadsticks!

You can get the steaks without any sauces or stuff on them, right? I have a PS for dinner, but neither DH nor myself like anything on our steaks...just plain old steak!

We will be eating at Le Cellier in December. It is one of our favorite places to eat at Epcot.

We were there in May of 2003 and my Dh and I shared an appetizer of Shrimp cocktail. The presentation was incredible. They had it sort of spilling out of a Chinese take out box with a spicy coleslaw as the bedding. Definitely had Wasabia in this. We loved it and were both trying to get not only the last shrimp, but also the last piece of the coleslaw.

Best of Le Cellier:

Lunch-Open Face Sirloin Steak Sandwich - marinated grilled sirloin, tomato jam, and an arugula and fennel salad, accompanied by a fennel and celery root slaw.

Dinner-Le Cellier Mushroom Filet Mignon - wild mushroom risotto, white truffle and herb beurre blanc, topped with fried parsnips.

Chocolate "Moose" - chocolate mousse rolled in toasted chocolate crumbs, maple leaf antlers, and fresh fruit.

MAGICinMYHEART, that moose is absolutely adorable!!! Does it taste as good as it looks? We're hoping to do Le Cellier with the Candlelight Processional next year (yes, I'm already planning, LOL). I promised my brother & nephew at least one restaurant that specializes in steak, so I thought this would be a good choice.

My wife and I absolutely loved the Maple Creme Brulee. She even got the recipe for it from our waitress. The one nice thing about creme brulee is that it seems to go down no matter how full you may be.

My vote goes to the Cheddar Cheese soup. Can't get enough of it and the bread sticks are perfect as well!

I just got back from dinner there.

Two of us had the mixed field greens salad which was absolutely excellent. Best salad I've ever eaten. Then we both had the special which was a lobster tail with a small steak and roasted potatos, again excellent. The other person with us had the salmon. I didn't taste it but they loved it. I did taste their dessert, the apple and cranberry cobler with cinnamon ice cream. It was out of this world and big. Oh and of course the awesome breadsticks!
