What, in your opinion, would be the "best of" Innoventions East and West? We are a mom, dad, DS 12 and 15.:jester:

Welcome to the DIS, I'm very glad you found us and I hope you can visit often.

I'm going to bump this back to page one for you so that some of our veterans can offer advice on this topic.

With the age of your children I'd pick West. There are new video games and alot of hands on stuff for them to try out.You can also send a picture of y'all in an email to your family and friends back home from Innoventions West.

My favorite was Innoventions when it first opened. The displays and activites were great, especially the Sega exhibit. Now displays have given way to more walking space and less "hands-on".

Hi shrink,

I'll be the voice of dissent here. Innoventions East has a couple of really neat features. One of the most recent additions is an interactive feature from the folks at Underwriter Labs, where kids can put common household appliances through the same rigorous testing that UL does.

For example, there's a setup that allows you to test door assemblies - the doorknob and hinge systems. You jump up and down on a big plastic pad. Every jump opens and closes the door once. A computer readout above the unit shows you how many times it's been opened and closed. I was there a couple of weeks after the whole thing opened, and the door had already been tested many tens of thousands of times. I

Other displays allow you to pound on home electronics and appliances. Where else can you go and bust stuff up for free? t's a neat glimpse into consumer product testing.

Hope this helps.

Len

That stuff changes so often, how do you keep track?

I remember when they used to have free internet access. Do they still have that?

The video games are usually packed with screaming kids, too. Not worth the hassle. Unless you are a screaming kid, that is. :earsboy: :earsboy:
