I was wondering if you could all please give your opinions on which is the best non-disney, good neighbour hotel?

Hojo's is out as it is booked out for our dates. We want somewhere within walking distance to the DL gates.

Here's a great website for reference:

www.acccommodationsneardisney.com

Some other Disboard favorites are Tropicana, Best Western Park Place Inn, Anaheim Plaza (cheap!) and Candy Cane Inn (dedicated shuttle and better than average breakfast).

I've been going back and forth deciding between Park Vue Inn and Best Western Park Place Inn. I can't decide. Good luck!

The Camelot Inn & Suites (the Tropicana's sister-hotel/motel) is clean, decent, and they have a complimentary continental "breakfast." It's a 6-minute walk to the DL/DCA entrance.

The Camelot Inn gets pretty good reviews at www.tripadvisor.com.

The Candy Cane Inn usually gets better reviews than the Camelot, but the Camelot is comparable to the Tropicana and the Best Western Park Place Inn (BWPPI).

fairfield. go to trip adviser and see the ratings, there awesome. we will be staying there. down from the Hojo so closer to the park!!

Another vote for the Fairfield. It's right up there with the HoJo for comfort, food convenience and quality, for a hotel so near the gate.

Voting for Fairfield also. Stayed there numerous times - check my siggie. Have always been pleased.

Embassy suits south on Harbour. This is about 1.5 miles from DL but it includes a hot buffet every mornig, so if you have kids that like to eat this is a savings. They also have a managers greeting most days at 4:40, where you can have snakes and free alcoholic beves, takes the edge off of a busy day. The hotel is clean and staff really helpful.
We are going to D.L in June and are staying there again, I can't wait

I prefer the Candy Cane Inn, but had lots of good feedback regarding the BW park place and the Anaheim Fairfield when I booked them for clients back when I was a travel agent.
