Hi, we are going to Disney next year with a very active 7 year old. What do you think are the best ts restaurants for us to try?

I'm hoping the fish tanks in Coral Reef will keep my monsters happy for the span of a meal, if not I'll bribe them with a promise of something from the gift shop, lol.

I would also consider Whispering Canyon at the WL. Just take a Tylenol before going - it can be a lot of fun, but LOUD!

Coral Reef in Epcot has a fish tank which is an entire wall and has all kinds of fish, sharks, turtles, etc.

Ohana's dinner at Poly. Good food and fun activities for the kids such as a coconut race around the room.

SciFi at Hollywood Studios shows clips of older movies ~ my 3 year old girls were scared, but an active 7 year old might think it's cool. You sit in little cars, themed like an old drive-in. Only problem is our food was not very good, but some people say their food has been awesome there so it may just have been an unlucky day for us....

Espn Club on the boardwalk if the child likes sports.

Japan in Epcot ~ a chef makes your food right at your table.

We loved Whispering Canyon, I didn't find it to be as loud as everyone makes it out to be. I did have twins with me that were 8 at the time, so I was glad they could make as much noise as they wanted. This was one of our favorite restaurants that trip. The kids get to take a ride on a stick pony around the place and the people at the tables wave their napkins. I've heard they do the hokey pokey, but they didn't the night they were there. The kids loved the getting 20 ketchup bottles brought to the table, that was funny!

I also liked the idea for Coral Reef, my dd's loved seeing the fish and the sea turtle swimming by while we ate.

We love Whispering Canyon Cafe! We are locals and don't have kids but we go to this restaurant a lot and suggest it to everyone who asks especially those with kids there is just so much activity for young and old. In fact we're already planning on taking my sister and her boyfriend there in the fall!!

my girls were 6 and 10 and coral reef was great, it gave them something to do, and for some reason, I think they rcvd some kind of a chart with the kids meal where they can look for certain names of the fish in the water. It doesn't hurt that the food was delicious!!! Man, now I wish I was there already..dining there on 7/25

My 6 year old DD loves the aquariam at Coral Reef and always wants to go back there every year. She also thought that 50's Prime Time was hilarious last year and asked me to make an ADR for that this year. We are going to try Sci-Fi and Ohana this year because I thought that she would also enjoy those two.
