When would you be best to go... all around best choice, a weekday or weekend ??? And is it worth going to times ????

I think Tuesdays are the best, especially the early ones.

Well, we're going on a Tuesday...it's just the last MVMCP though. We have a hard schedule to work around for any of our trips, and this year we opted for Christmas with the mouse...I know we're totally nuts in many people's minds...but for us it was either Sunday night when we arrive...didn't want to push our luck or Tuesday, the last MVMCP. So we're going 12/20 and it'll still be fun!

I went for a Thursday. :cool1: :cool1:

It was sold out for other days and I had to choose Thur or Sunday, I think weekday would be better.

I can't believe it is that close to sold out already!! Only a couple days were left.

:) thanks all

why is it "just the last though" ? Do you mean you had no options or is it bad that it is the last one ??

go during the week. If you go on the weekends, the locals come out and the closer you get to Halloween, the busier it might get..

On a Tuesday or Thursday, would be a good choice.Friday is the most crowded and I would avoid going to Friday MVMCP.Sunday MVMCP'S are good also,we are going to MVMCP on Dec. 6th and 8th this year.(Tues.&Thur.) :wave2: :sunny: :goodvibes

Okay, I had to read it twice, but looks like the wrong holiday. :confused3

Thanks for the information though.

We have gone the last 3 years on Sunday's and it has been really enjoyable. The crowds were very manageable.

We are going Dec. 16th thru 22nd. How are the crowds at this time? We picked Sunday the 18th for MVMCP. Hopefully, it will not get too crowded until we leave.

We had only two nights to choose from that will work with our schedule...DH teaches college and finals are the week before and grades due on 12/16 and DS has school through 12/16 also so we were kinda stuck. But, hey, I'm just thrilled to be going at Christmas!! :cool1: We were at WDW Thanksgiving 2003 and loved the decorations then, but no MVMCP or Candlelight Processional for us then so we're going this year...to both! :cool1:

Our Christmas trip is still a secret from some family members...those still not in the know aren't going to be happy because they won't see us for the holiday...we typically have 7 places (between DH's family, my family, DS's biological father's family, and church) to be and it's a bit crazy trying to make them all happy, so this year we decided to just have the holiday for the 3 of us...it will actually be our first as such. :flower:

Even though it's suppose to be the highest crowd level for the week of Christmas, we are still going to have fun...just go with the flow. I'm planning some resort hopping for us to look at the decorations instead of getting bogged down with crowds at the parks and some other things that should still allow us to relax....spa treatments for family Christmas gifts. :cool1:

You know, there's lots of reasons to try TourGuideMike, but the Christmas and Halloween parties are high up on the list. TGMike not only gives great advice on which nights to go, he has a plan that gets you past the bottlenecks for both of these not-to-be-missed events.

Last Halloween we rode every ride we wanted with no wait time and the kids ended the night with tons of candy. Well the candy wasn't such a good thing.;) We even had our free pictures taken in several spots that were completely empty. It was fun to watch things fill up/get crowded as we were leaving.

Give TGMike a shot. He has a money back guarantee so there's nothing to lose.

Okay, I signed up for TG Mike. Wow, I'm glad I did while there is still time to soak it all in. That site is like drinking from a firehose. I guess you need to take it in segments. Contrary to the UG. TG Mike predicts crowds to build much faster in the month. However, he still has his information based on last year's predictions. Here's hoping he is wrong about the 2005 crowds and they are moderate during our stay. I remember a post on this site talking about many large school districts are still in session right up until Christmas weekend. Maybe that will help. If not I will have done the research to be prepared. :cool1:

Actually TGMike bases his predictions on his every day experience in the parks. Either he or his employees are in the parks every day giving VIP tours. He sees the crowd patterns real time, not based on a sampling done months ago. You'll see on his site that the minute someone brings up a park related issue TGMike is right there to check it out. He still has friends on the "inside" that can confirm or deny any rumors posted here on the DIS unlike guide books that are already outdated as soon as they are printed.

BTW, please don't share TGMike info here. It violates the TOS you agreed to when you signed up.

In case you missed it:

If you don't want people to discuss TourGuideMike's information, then why do you keep bringing up his website every other post? I prefer UG, Len has no problems with people discussing information received from his guide and/or website. Len graciously offers his opinions--free of charge--often on this site. Your TGM advice sounds more like an informercial than useful information.

dpic:

I would encourage you to continue to the follow the UG advice if that's what works for you. I, and others, have benefited greatly from TourGuideMike's advice because it enhances our vacation experience.

If I sound like an infomercial, it's only because I really believe that lots of people can benefit from TGMike's advice. I could keep it to myself but that would be selfish.

I remember the pre-TGM trips and how miserable my family was following the other touring plans that always landed us in long lines. Now everyone looks forward to enjoying a fun-filled and relaxing vacation thanks to TGMike. We do more now than we ever did before and still have plenty of time to slow down and smell the roses. We're makin' memories and that, my friend, is priceless.

Maybe I should try writing TV commercials so I could earn some extra money for trips to Disney. You think I'd be any good? :cool1:

So SOME nights of the MVMCP are already close to being sold out? Which Nights are these if anyone knows??

Second we are going the week of Dec 10 to Dec 19th and we have 5 MVMCP to choose from and I cannot decide!

Tuesday the 13th is an AP discount night and I really really think these nights (the AP discount one's) are going to be much more crowded because wouldn't you go on a night you can get a discount? I seem to be the only one that thinks this though since I have read and asked questions about this thinking process...maybe I am wrong. ANYone with thoughts on this?

So I guess it is Sunday or Thursday for us....although all the conventional wisdom is to do Tuesday or Thursday but don't go nights when it is getting closer to Christmas (which Thursday is getting closer being the 15th).....ARG the madness :rotfl: I really need a life....
