With Christmas following the small gathering format of Thanksgiving, what are your favorite games?

We are all adults looking to make Christmas Day fun.

Ticket to Ride - has a lot of moving parts. You might want to check out the iPad version since it is the same and no issue with all the pieces (plus its a lot cheaper)
Pay Day! - That was a favorite of mine as a kid so I was happy to see it was still in print. Turns out its not terribly elaborate and 90% chance who wins, but my kids love it same as I did.

Relative Insanity. It’s very similar to Cards Against Humanity, just not as raunchy. I also find Cards so stupid in combos not funny. Relative Insanity will say something like Aunt blah blah blah and we just add the particular aunt we‘re talking about.

Telestrations is our favorite fun game, my kids like ticket to ride. Just played incohearant, supposed to be a Christmas gift but my daughter wanted to play it on thanksgiving.

The adults in our family like to play the dice game Left Center Right. Instead of using the tokens we use quarters (everyone brings their own quarters to play) and whoever is the winner wins the pot!

Game Rules:
Players take turns to roll the six-sided dice, each of which is marked with “L,” “C,” “R” on one side, and a single dot on the three remaining sides. For each L or R thrown, the player must pass one chip to the player to their left or right. A "C” indicates a chip to the pot in the center—a dot has no effect. When a player has no chips, he passes the dice on his turn, but may receive chips from others and take his next turn accordingly. The last player to have any chips is declared the winner.

Cards Against Humanity?

We had lots of laughs with that one when our DD brought it home from college but we seem to exhausted all the cards now.

I Dissent

Looked it up and ordered it! Arguing points of view is a family staple so perfect for my crew. I sent a link in our family text. The two sample cards were "Are cats jerks?" and "Is a hotdog a sandwich?" They all texted back an opinion on both within 5 minutes. It should be fun.

We have Telestrations and last year my DS added Tellestrations After Dark to the game collection. It's fun for adults. I'll look up Incohearent.

In normal years this is our larger family Christmas Day activity. We play with scratch offs. Then have the fun of scratching and then the young adults head to a convenience store to cash out.

My kids have apps with games that they beam to our tv and then we log in and respond with our phones. We played several Thanksgiving. We played the jackbox brand games.

One game was like pictionary. We drew on our phone and it beamed our drawings to the tv.

I laughed until I had tears down my face.

I think they paid a nominal fee to download the apps.

My favorite games are Mancala, Blokus and Gobble-It. Of these, Blokus is the top of my list.

Just ordered telestrations after dark, my 5 kids range from almost 18 - 24 so it’s fine (although ds17 was uncomfortable with some of the incohearent cards which made it funnier).

We also like Telestrations. 31 is a fun card game, I'm sure you can find the rules online. We do still occasionally break out Phase 10, but I think we've over played that.

Played Scattergories once and refused to ever play it again. More than 25 years later and I’m still bitter.

Has anyone tried the Jaws board game that game out (I think) last year?
