I need help with the best nassau excursion.....i'm thinking of doing the catamaran sail and reef snorkeling....but i need to know if it is worth it or is there something else that would be better? Or should we just hang out on the ship. My DH is not too excited about the cruise in the first place but i think once he gets there he will love it! I just want us to have the most fun possible on our NO KIDS trip. Thanks

Also, will the water be cold Nov. 6?

I was wondering the same thing... We have already booked our excursion- We chose the blue lagoon/stingray thing (forgot the name of it) I would love to hear any opinions on this.

Hi Minnie:

I've only done one excursion at Nassau and I loved it. It was the Catamaran and Reef Snorkel one. I loved the snorkeling, there was tons of fish to see and the ride on the catamaran was heavenly. Just relaxing as they sailed back after snorkeling for an hour and seeing the beauty of the island. i thought it was well worth it and my DH loved it too. I would recommend it. :)

The other thing I liked is that the excursion wasn't too drawn out, so we had plenty of time when we got back on the ship to relax at Quiet Cove and grab lunch.

And just a side note...my DH wasn't too sure about cruising with Disney and no kids either...but once we were there, he fell in love with it. We're going on the 7-day Eastern on the Magic in October. :)

Good luck and enjoy.

Thanks DMOSS: I think we will go for the catamaran sail. It sounds cool! Will the water be warm enough early november?

I agree with DMOSS, this was a great excursion. I would have liked to stay just a little longer-they had trouble putting down the anchor or finding just the right spot. It was alot of fun and there were alot of fish. They do supply equipment, but if you have your own I would take it. We didn't and had some trouble with the mask staying on tight. By the time we were in the water, it was too late to go back and exchange them. We just pressed the mask on tight with one hand. We are not experts by any means, so we didn't miss trying to go deeper. We just like to float!

I'm also in agreement with DMOSS about the time frame. It was so long that we couldn't do anything that day. We went, ate, showered, went into Nassau, (twice because we needed more money!) and had spa appointments at 5:00. It was a great day!

Have Fun!
