Best Nap Locations in MK and EPCOT

Yeah, LOTS of options in Epcot. The place has a plethora of napping options.

I would say Tom Sawyer Island. You'll get the occasional toot of the Steamboat .... but should be away from the crowds and well-shaded.

Once our LO (17 months at the time) conked out in his stroller, he was good to nap wherever! Normally he is bothered by noise during naps at home, but it didn't bother him at Disney. I found keeping him moving worked best for naps because the movement kind of lulled him to sleep.

In the dead heat of August, my son, at age 4 even, had absolutely NO problem passing out in the stroller, and sleeping for prolonged periods of time. We often had to wake him up for rides.

That said, for a nice COOL nap, in MK, Hall of Presidents is great, as is the carousel of Progress. Once the sun goes down, the people mover is awesome. If the loud sound track doesn't keep him awake, a decent nap can be had in Philharmagic as well. Of course, none of those are particularly stroller friendly. Tom Sawyers Island could be though, as well as the small alley way off the right side of Main Street on your way into the park. Bonus, that is close to bathrooms, and food for the adults :) Going towards Liberty Square from the Hub, on the right just after the bridge is a small seating area behind the building, near the pathway around the castle. There is a snack shop there (can't recall the name, it serves the fruit and nutella waffles though, maybe sleepy hollow something or other) that has decent shade and is stroller friendly. Nearly directly across from that, behind the Christmas shop is also a nice little area.

In EPCOT . . . Universe of Energy is a great air conditioned nap. So is Spaceship Earth, and living with the land :) The "breezeways" between the Innoventions buildings often have nice cool air blowing through from the open doors, and shade if you can find an open bench there. The Mexico Pavilion (inside) is a nice place to relax for a bit. The seating area in the rock garden near the quick service in Japan is a favorite place of mine to relax. The American Adventure can be a wonderful place to nap as well. Finally, the rose gardens in the back of the UK pavilion.

Ok other than the big 3...HOP, COP, A.Adventure. I'd also recommend The gardens in UK., & also Ellen's Energy ride.

I usually nod out, & these are some of my fav. rides too.LoL

Hello Friends!

My family leaves for Orlando on Friday night! Woot Woot!

We are doing a day at EPCOT and MK on Sunday March 1st before our cruise leaves Monday. Wife only will allow 1 day, so that is why we are doing two major parks together. We will rope drop EPCOT on Sunday morning, and then head over to MK in time for the Festival of Fantasy parade. After that our FastPasses kick in all afternoon for Peter Pan, Space, SDMT, and then a BOG res at 7. Wishes and MSEP following.

Now that is a long day for anybody. However - it will be especially long for our 9 month old. We are doing a stroller so he can do some in park naps. We are staying off site, so running back to the room isn't really an option.

Outside of the baby care centers... What are the best places to nap? The afternoon itinerary keeps us mostly in Fantasy/Tomorrowland in the afternoon when I bet a good nap will be needed.

I would love to hear you guy's thoughts and ideas!

I take it you are looking for quiet places?

My babies always hang out in their stroller.
Mom or dad like to sit and chill with said baby in the stroller in the ride exit gift shops (Test track, MS, ETC) if we need A/C or just outside the exits on the bench or garden wall.

At MK, the restaurant (that always seems to be closed) across the way from POTC tends to be a nice spot for a respite just off the path from crowds. But your afternoon looks pretty filled between parades, fast passes, and dinners to go to any out of the way spot.
If your baby is anything like our babies--they tend to fall asleep in transit between parks--so the snooze in the stroller ends up being the best solution. Hopping into stores for A/C as needed.

We were in line at Haunted Mansion and DD3 asked to be picked up.... Slept through the line, through the ride, through the walk to Hall of Presidents, through Presidents through the walk to Carousel of Progress (and a CM let us ride 2 times) all the while in DHs arms...

They will sleep anywhere when their tired! Just be lucky you're only carrying 9months!!!

Best place for an adult nap is the world of energy in Epcot :o

The Hall of Presidents at MK and The American Adventure at Epcot are the two places my family relies on for a nap if we need one. Also, the Carousel of Progress. All of these are fairly long, quiet, and dark shows.

Don't get me wrong here, I love all three of these shows, but they can also serve a dual purpose.

I'm pretty sure they will let you just stay on the People Mover, so you could nap there for however long you wanted. It's very relaxing. Maybe you'll get lucky and it will break down inside Space Mountain.

Keep in mind that any grassy area in Epcot not guarded by a fence can be slept on. It's an option if the adults need a nap too. The grass by Mission:Space is especially snooze worthy :thumbsup2

I came here hoping this thread was about adults and not just naps for babies! :sunny:

If it's warm/hot invest in a fan water bottle! We clipped it to DDs stroller while she slept... Best $$$ spent!!! But the heat was brutal too!!!
