Best Nacho Plate With Melted Cheese, Salsa Etc???

I totally agree that real cheese is the best for nachos.

But, I'm not a purist. I'll eat the fake cheese ones on occasion, too.

It all depends on how the fake cheese tastes. There's good fake cheese, and bad fake cheese. ;)

So what's the Disney stuff taste like? I've never had any of it -- on nachos, fries, or anything else. How does it compare to, say Cheez Whiz?

Bill,
If you like the look of those nachos and you aren't a fan of the liquid cheese that some have reported that ESPN switched to--maybe you could request them done the old way "with real cheese". I think I's be willing to pay a bit more $ in an upcharge to get them done the way I want them!

I tried that last month at ESPN and they said they dont have the means to cook that kind of cheese any more. They changed the ovens or something in the kitchen. I don't know if that's accurate, but the bottom line was I tried asking for the real cheese and was denied.

If you"re REALLY serious about fantastic Mexican AND you don't mind driving, check out P.R.'s Taco Palace in Winter Park. Far better than anything on or near property, in my view!

If you go to the Disney Dining Reviews page, Danalee has just returned (Labor Day trip) and posted her pics and reviews. The ESPN nachos look to be served with real cheese--not the liquid stuff! Go have a look-see!:thumbsup2

Here's the post Belle is talking about: ESPN Club

Looks like a decent plate of nachos, but not much cheese from what I can see. Tons of sour cream, tho.

The Pepper Market nachos at CSR are great! We also like the nachos they serve at the CSR's Siesta's Pool Bar. It's a good size serving of lettuce, ground beef, cheese & tomatoes. They give you sour cream, salsa (we sub. more salsa for the sour cream) and jalapenos on the side. Goes great with the tasty, layered Fiesta Margarita they serve.:woohoo:

has anybody had the nachos from Orlando Ale House recently?
Used to go there all the time after work - huge servings - loaded and fairly inexpensive.
