Best movie subscription service?

We just got a new smart tv and would like to joint Net Flix or Amazon prime or another service to get movies and tv shows. Any opinions on which offers the most titles are appreciated. I'm not too tech savvy so I want something easy to use and of course good for my budget!

I'm not tech-savvy either. We have both Amazon Prime and Netflix, and I prefer Netflix. What frustrates me about Amazon Prime is that the movies that are included with the Prime service (and thus are free to stream) are not the ones I want to see. The ones I want to see are always the ones that cost additional $$$ which is frustrating. I know when I go on Netflix that I can watch anything on there without paying additional $$$. We only have Prime because my college aged daughter gets it for half price....I'd never subscribe to it just for the movies.

I noticed the movies on NetFlex didn't seem to be the current new releases either. I guess I was hoping it would be more like RedBox though on demand on my tv!

We have Netflix and Huluplus. Netflix is great for movies. They don't get the most current movies right away, but they still have a great selection, and they're getting more and more TV shows. Their original programming is also great. Huluplus is ok, but imo better for network TV shows. I tried Amazon prime, and had the same problem as PP; all the stuff I wanted to watch, I had to pay extra for. Dropped that one. One other thing; if you have HBO, they have HBOgo, which is for internet use. I heard they are going to offer it without a cable subscription soon, so that might be a good option. Good luck!

Another vote for Netflix. I have tried Hulu and Prime, Hulu is ok for shows, Prime I only tried for the free shipping. Their movie selection is not great.

Netflix is definitely the best subscription service. They do have some brand new releases, but not the most popular ones. If you're talking specifics, Redbox doesn't even have the newest releases either sometimes...their release schedule is behind on certain movies so you still have to wait 1,2,3 weeks to rent from Redbox.

Anyway, the most recent example of Netflix is that I rented Happy Christmas from Redbox several weeks ago and I see it's now on Netflix. Terrible movie, by the way. ;) Netflix streaming does have a lot of newer releases, but not always the one you want. I use both Netflix and Redbox (and occasionally an actual movie rental store if I'm really excited to see a movie right away).

I love the Netflix Original Series selection. Amazon Instant has the worst interface ever (along with Hulu Plus) and it just doesn't have much for me. Some people love it.

We have Amazon Prime and Netflix. Netflix has more selection and more movies that appeal to me. However, Amazon Prime has some TV shows (such as Justified) that Netflix doesn't, and it recently added most HBO shows. We are frequent Amazon shoppers so Amazon Prime is definitely worth it for us. The interface for prime was nonexistant on our Tivo, but we just got a fire stick and it works great for both Netflix and Prime. Interface is going to depend on your streaming device rather than the movie service.

I prefer netflix for movies because they have a better selection. I have amazon prime and can never find a good free movie. I use it for the shipping and when I want to rent a movie on demand. I also have comcast on demand but they are usually a couple dollars more. Hulu was a pretty big bust for me as I don't really watch shows.

I say go for Netflix if you are looking for a good selection if older movies.

if you want the new releases on Netflix you need to subscribe to the DVD service. I have a 2 DVDs/month from Netflix that is $5.30/month. they don't offer that plan anymore, but a really great value IMO, glad I am grandfathered in

I have Amazon Prime but sure seems like they have a lot more things for kids, at least that is my experience. Amazon has a lot of the prior seasons of HBO original series,
