Best month to visit?

I know I am going to get a huge range of answers. When is the best month to visit WDW? I am thinking the end of December so the holiday lights will still be up, but DD wants to do a waterpark and Discovery Cove and I am concerned it will be too cold? Spring? Fall? We could do summer as well but we did our honeymoon in July and I remember it was HOT. Yes, she will be in school, so that is a factor. I don't mind pulling her out, but it would always be nice not to have to pull her out for too long.

I love Disney right after Thanksgiving. The christmas decor is already up, the crowds are minimal, and the weather is perfect -not to cold, not to hot... just right! :thumbsup2

We have gone end of April and it was nice weather, slightly crowded. We are going early December this year since I hear the crowds are low and the Christmas decorations are up.

I have only been in August or October, so not a very scientific opinion, but I think October is great. The weather is ideal, post hurricanes, but still warm. The parks are less crowded. The water parks are still open, and so much fun. And the food and wine festival at Epcot is great.

We've always visited the day after Thankgiving and the whole week following. No lines at all!!! This time we're going Easter week, must be crazy!

A Disney employee once told us that the best time to visit is between the week AFTER Thanksgiving, and the week BEFORE Christmas. The lines are very small, and its decorated beautifully. Although, I don't know how warm it is then.

Been there before during school vacations, and you couldn't PAY me to go back.. We've gotten so used to 0-10 min waiting in lines.. I believe from Christmas until Jan. 5th (or so) is crazy busy, along with Feb, March, April school vacations, then summers I think.

We've been at various months of the year, only exception being June, July, August, December. But have been @ 15 times total.

October is a great time to visit for low crowds and good weather for water parks. I'm not sure but I think end of November and December gets a little cool for swimming, although the pools are heated.

January is when we go...the crowds usually start to clear out around the 3rd. Also, the weather is generally nice...and we go to the water parks then as well. Sometimes the weather can be cold though.

I knew I would get a variety and I am, and I really appreciate them. Keep them coming, when would you love to visit the parks?

Thanks!
Suzanne

I like early May the best! The weather is warm, not too rainy and the crowds aren't too bad.

In October you have Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween. Everyone gets to dress up and trick-or-treat through the MK. The weather is usually warm during the day and cooler at night. During the middle of the week the parks are as close to empty as they get. The week after Thanksgiving and the first couple of weeks in December are great too. All the decorations and Christmas parades are spectacular. They also have Mickey's Merry Christmas Party at MK, with "snow" on Main Street. The only downside is it can be too cold for water fun.

Our favorites are mid-September and mid-January.

We've found December the week before Christmas to be hit and miss with the crowds.

Really hoping for low crowds, we have never been, and planned our first trip for Nov.23-Dec.2. I know THanksgiving weekend will be crowded, hopefully the crowds will go wayyy down the following week. I have read that we are going at a good time, I hope so. :bitelip:

Four trips - three in October and one in early December. MVMCP is fun - Candlelight Processional and Osborne Lights are wonderful. Weather was on the cooler side. Very pleasant in all ways. But..... I absolutely love later October. Warm days, cool nights, low humidity. MNSSHP!!!!! Food and Wine Festival!!

Have fun deciding!!

We've gone in November the week before Thanksgiving and during Spring Break (last week in April).

The week before Thanksgiving was the best. Very low crowds, weather was very nice (70's). We will NEVER go during Spring break again....it was a mad house and hot.

I have gone 4 times the end of January. Great for low crowds--we've been lucky with the weather most of the time, but I've never wanted to go to a water park and we've one gone to the hotel pools occasionally.

Went once in February, avoiding holiday weekends. Same as the end of January, but got busy as Pres weekend got closer.

I've gone once the first 2 weeks of December. The crowds were greater than the end of January, but not too bad. The weather was cool (cold some days) decorations were nice. Not water park weather.

I've gone once the very end of Sept-the beginning of Oct. Food and Wine Festival was fun, went to the Halloween Party. It was very hot--water park weather. We went right aftera hurricane, however, which is the big risk that time of the year.

I've gone once in mid-May, which was nice. It was hot, not too crowded, but not real slow like January.

We went once in August, which of course was hot, but we had gone the previous January and were going back for more of the hot weather stuff, water parks, shows, etc, so it wasn't so bad.

I've been to Orlando and gone to Universal a couple times in April and one year had coolish weather, so even when you think that it would be warm it's not always real warm.

Hmmm, I think that covers my trips. :teeth:

I'm going week after next and am looking forward to some warm weather in the beginning of May.
