When woudl be the best time to go and enjoy light crowds but still enjoy weather nice enough to go to Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon? We went for the first time last February and it was a little busy, and not nice enough to take in any water parks. I think the crowds were heavy because of Daytona 500. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks :flower:

Last week of April....did this once in '04....wonderfully low crowds, perfect water park weather.

I know someone has to have some input, so please help. Sorry I don't already know this, as I haven't been to disney as many time as the rest of you. :flower:

2 people have already answered :confused3

Anyway, we love to go in September after Labor Day. It's still hot, but not crowded, and the rates are low.

We went the end of Sept, beginning Oct. Still great weather, crowds not too bad. Max wait was 20 minutes, but we still got the fast pass and came back later anyways.

The crowds are incredibly low and the pools are heated.... They went swimming twice!!

We left the Saturday AFTER Thanksgiving and got home Dec 3rd.

This is also when we like to go. Weather also very nice.

How warm do you consider "warm enough to swim"? To me, that would be temps in the 80's. The best month for temps consistently in the 80's would be October or April/MAy. November, December, January, February, and sometimes March are unpredictable as far as temps go- it could be in the 90's, or it could be in the 40's.

My family has had really good luck with October and early November for good swimmimg weather (not too hot, but not too cool, and not rainy).

Just went the last week of October, hoping to go to Typhoon Lagoon. Because of Hurricane Wilma, the weather cooled off significantly almost the whole time we were there - great weather for walking around the parks (about 70-75 degrees and no humidity) but a little too cool for pools and water parks.

We went at the end of September this year. Crowds were non-existent. Walk-on everything. it was great. It was hot though, 80's and 90. Chance of rain everyday. But it only rained once while we were there. Of course it was the day we went to Blizzard Beach. We had to get out of the water for about 1 1/2 hours then it passed and all was well. Good thing about that, alot of people left and the waterpark was empty.

We've also been middle of October. Little more crowded, meaning maybe 10-20 minute waits vs walk-on and the weather was a little cooler but still nice swim weather.

It all depends too what you feel is nice weather. I was born and bred a northerner, but anything below 80, I'm not swimming even if the pools are heated. We were there also this past year, the beginning of November. Crowds were a little more , 30 minute waits, but I would have never went swimming, it was 80, lows in the lower 70's. I wore a sweatshirt at night. DH thought I was nuts. It was overcast alot during the day, there were people in the pools but not me. Good Luck to you.

We're shooting for September for our next trip. All the "light" times of past years seem to be crowded now - October, early December, parts of January and February. October has always been our favorite time, but Food & Wine (as much as I like it) has pretty much filled the place.

I`m probably in the minority here, but I loved the end of August/ beginning of Sept. Very, very quiet and great for the water parks.

Thank you all very much for your input. When we were there in February we waited in some lines for over and hour. Most lines about 40 minutes, just wasn't sure if the crowds were every any lighter. Thanks for your input, makes planning much easier. Were thinking about late April or early May. :flower:

September was really nice for us. We went to TL in July and it got rained out, so we decided to get a rain check and go later. It was way too crowded, no place to put your stuff if you're not there at opening. And the lines were horrible.
When we went back in September, it was a bit busy in the day time, but there was still plenty of room to move about. The lines weren't too bad, mainly just walking up to the slide was the longest, and we went on a saturday which was the emh night. That worked out very well and it was not busy at all during that time. But it does get a bit chilly at night. Next time I would bring a bath robe to keep warm when you get done swimming, and going to the showers, or if you're like us, getting on a cold buss to go back to the hotel.
