Best month or time for Disney

Crowds drop the second half of August and then into September (schools back in session). October picks up with special activities and then I think November and December are generally good before the Holidays.

I went the second week of May and the crowds were great except for the end of my trip when the D23 event was going on. It got quite hot, but it was bearable for me. I was able to go to all 4 parks in one day and do everything I wanted. Granted there wasn't much I wanted to do at AK, Epcot and MGM. lol

I usually go in Sept (hot, but low crowds), mid Oct (warm, but a little more crowded), first or second week of Dec (weather is iffy, but crowds are great), and first or second week of May (perfect time for fairly low crowds and great weather). I've also been a couple of times in Jan but would not do that again (cold and too many Brazillian tour groups).

I went this year the weekend after Thanksgiving and could not believe the low crowds and fantastic weather. I was there Nov 26th-Dec 4th and have never seen WDW as empty as it was. Universal was also dead that week. It was great!

Probably May. The weather is usually warm and schools are still in session. I like fall but there's always the risk of a hurricane.

Enjoy yourself.

:)

If school isn't an issue for you (younger kiddos) or you don't mind pulling them out for a bit- JANUARY!!! We went the last week in 2008 and it was AWESOME!!!! VERY low crowds and the weather was perfect. Very low humidity too, and that's a big deal! LOL

Have fun!

The best week we've ever gone for both weather and crowds was the last full week before Thanksgiving week. It doesn't seem to work so well for us any more, but if I could go back any week of the year, it would be that one.

ETA: That last few times we have gone in January, we've had great luck with the weather. I know that can be risky, though. But if you want the lowest crowds of the year, probably mid-January. Right from about now until mid-February is good, aside from holiday weekends.

If you don't mind HOT our last week of August trip was great. Late EMH hours with low crowds the whole trip.

If warm weather and low crowds are what's most important to you, September. We found it to be too hot (high humidity, low 90s every day) but crowds were great - 20 mins or less wait times (except for the headliners).

I always say that I can find something great and something bad about every week of the year. We just decide what is most important to us and focus on that - next time it will be low crowds and cooler temps, so we are looking at certain weeks of November and December.
