Best Moderate?

We're planning a trip to WDW in early September. We're looking into the Moderate resorts. Which one is best? Thanks! What is the dining plan? Should I book that too?

Having stayed at CBR and CSR, and I visited POR and POFQ, I feel CSR is the best of the moderates for us. Great theming, beautiful grounds, clean rooms, awesome food court, and superior bus system. Highly recommend!

Our favorite Moderate is the Caribbean Bch. We love the grounds/beaches/pools food court. Everything about it. We like the other mods as well, they are all great in there own way.

The dining plan is where you pay a fee per person per day and it includes 1 snack, 1 counter service and 1 table service per day per person. The table service (sit down meal) no longer includes an appitizer or tip like it did in previous years. Some people are discouraged by that some aren't. We always do the dining plan it works for us.

The Disney dining plan looks like it will be free in September if you book a package. Package meaning room and park tickets. Check out the codes & rates board ASAP.

OK, you're under a bit of time pressure here.

It looks as though free dining for much of September may be announced this week, so you'll want to decide on a resort ASAP. Can you give us a bit of info about the size and ages of your party?

Our favorite is CBR, POR is second. Least favorite CSR - I do not like their food court!!!

CSR is our fav. Love the food court (the table service is fair), the Dig Site pool, the quiet pools, the hot tub, the spa, walking around the lake at night, the serenity of the resort. Our second choice would be POFQ (did not like POR or CAR or their eating establishments).

My vote is for POFQ. It is the smallest moderate, only 7 buildings. It does share buses with POR, but you are picked up and dropped off first coming and going to the parks. It also has its own bus stop at MK in the evening. Wed-Sun Elliot Dyson preforms at Scat Cats, the lounge. It is also the only place on property that has beignets. But one of the best features is the boat to DTD. It may not be the fastest transportation around, but it is certainly the most relaxing. That's why I like FQ, it is quiet and relaxing. Something you can really use after a hectic day at the park.

We love Coronado Springs. We're staying there for a third time in june. It is beautiful and the food court is better then the other moderate hotels. Depending on the building you are in, you could have a long walk to the pool/main building but they do offer on site transportation and there are multiple bus stops. The overall atmosphere in this resort is just laid back. They sometimes even have a steel drum band playing at the bar outside.

Definitely CSR! No shared transportation, great food and the best mod pool!!

We have stayed at CSR, POR and CBR and our favorite is CSR. Newest mod and best transportation. Also great pool.
