We are looking to go in November with our 4 and 2 yr old and where is the best place to stay on property?

Thanks!

In Disney-speak, "moderate" has a very specific definition.

Disney has three levels of resorts - Value, Moderate and Deluxe.

There are 4 Moderate resorts: Caribbean Beach Resort, Coronado Springs Resort, Port Orleans French Quarter and Port Orleans Riverside.

Similar rooms at all 4 resorts have identical prices.

The major differences between these resorts are the themes. Disney is heavily into theming its resorts. CBR has a Caribbean theme. CSR has an American southwest/Mexican northwest theme. POFQ has a New Orleans French Quarter theme (minus the drunkeness and debauchery). POR has a rustic Louisiana bayou theme.

CSR is also a convention resort, so it has a few things the others don't. It has a gym. It has room service (the others have pizza delivery only). It has queen size beds. It has some Club Level rooms and some suites (the others don't have those options). The rooms have only one sink (the others have 2).

POFQ and POR have boat service to Downtown Disney.

CBR's rooms are slightly larger than the others (340 sq. ft. versus 314 sq. ft.).

Mostly, as I said, it comes down to theme. Choose what tickles you the most. They all are high-quality places, all of them are what you would expect from Disney at this price point.

I hope this answers your question.

CSR is my family faovrite! Check out my CSR website below for pics and info. CSR has queen beds, full menu room service, a terrific main pool area and great transportation that is not shared with other resorts.

Pick which theme you like and which resort amenities meet you family needs.

You'll love CSR! Best of all the rooms have just been redone - they're much nicer than they were when we were there 12/07. The kids will love the pool and you and DH will like the hammocks. ;) Actually, the kids love the beach area around the hammocks too. The bus system is good at CSR also... I'd recommend the Cabana buildings - call and request Cabanas 9B. We always stay there - close to parking, bus and everything else, but still quiet... Also close to the laundry if needed. If you're picky about pillows I'd bring your own - they were pretty hard, but other than that we enjoyed ourselves. We were there last week. :)

Cabanas 9B is now all club level rooms, so it's no longer a good place to request a regular room. This was part of the recent refurbishment.

Actually, Club Level has been on hold. Cabanas 9B is open to regular guests as long as it is not being used by a convention group.

Correct Kathy, as of 1/2009, cabana 9b was converted to CLUB LEVEL rooms but it has been put on hold for leisure guests so you can request this section of the resort.

CSR!! I love CSR for the atmosphere, great CM's and the deluxe-lite feel. CSR offers a spa, salon, full menu room service and fitness center not to mention a terrific main pool area and the best transportation that is not shared with any other resort. It's like taking two vacations in one. Queen beds too!

CSR has terrific transportation.
