We are between Riverside and CS. I saw a post poll that put CS with the best pool. I did notice that POR has surry's to rent and bikes etc. What does CS offer for kids 6, 8 other than the pool?

Well, my daughter will be 8 at the time we stay at CSR this year. She and even my older son thought the playground looked pretty cool. For a ten year old to say a playground looked cool, well.. thats a good sign.

From the pictures I have seen, there is a marina and I do think a bike rental place.

If anything they can also take a walk around the lake as well.

Yes, you're right. There is a bike rental place where you rent the boat. We rented a surrey bike. It was a nice ride. Too bad my children legs are too short to pedal! It was nice, but it was exhausting for me!!

POR has a rental bikes too. We rented 3 individual there. My daughter had the training wheels. So, it worked out perfect! We loved biking around and it was so easy for me. We stayed at POFQ.

We have stayed at Port Orleans-Riverside, and Caribbean Beach. Personally I found CB much more kid friendly- they loved the beach to play on. We had a long walk to the PO pool too, so it wasnt very convenient. But honestly, we just didnt spend much time at the hotel on either visit, so Im not sure it mattered too much to us.

Definitely CSR!! Your kids will love the Dig Site, with a playground, volleyball area and an arcade. Great drinks and nachos too!!

You can rent water mice, bikes and fishing equipment at CSR.

I'd vote for POR over CS.

how good are your swimmers?

if fine - then CSR would be the choice. It is definitely more adult in style. but that swimming pool is the best!!!

if you aren't sure then POR - why? because PO are sister resorts. You can stay in one resort and use the other pool. POFQ has the perfect pool for non-swimmers. It has a slide but it is very, very slow. It has a lifeguard.

the teens find this pool boring....and since they can use the pool at pOR they generally go there.

POR has a very wonderful play area. the problem is that adults have a problem getting in there (this is not a problem for the kids).

both POR and CSR have a pool bar next to the main pool.

both also have marina with bikes and boats to rent.

POR has the boat to DD (you don't pay for this boat ride).

I love the food court at POR. I also like the food court at CSR - read the reviews lots of people hated this food court (you get extra charges here).

We just returned from POR Saturday, and while we liked it, CSR is where my DS12 wants to go next trip. We've stayed at CSR twice now and we really love it. The pool and slide are great, Pepper Market has lots of different choices for kids, the playground is great, surreys and bike rentals, and 2 arcades. All in all, CSR is our very favorite moderate - it has everything we love... :flower: :goodvibes :flower: :goodvibes :flower:
