Best mixed drinks and where?

I'm taking a trip to WDW with NO KIDS, that's right, NO KIDS. I'm going with my best friend for a few nights and then our hubby's are joining us later in the week. We're used to traveling with our kids so we know all about the character meals and where to get the best chicken fingers, etc, etc.... but lets talk grown up talk here. What were your favorite mixed drinks and from where?

Try either the Rose and Crow pub or at DTD at PI.

Oooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!! I got a good one! Lapu Lapu, at the Tambu Lounge and 'Ohana at the Poly. Very potent, but very good. It's one of those drinks that screams "I AM ON VACATION".

I have had good (read...potent) mixed drinks at ESPN, Mama Melrose, Tambu Lounge, and Yachtsman Steakhouse.

My trip last week was an adult only trip and we discovered the Margaritas in Mexico were quite good.

Don't miss the rainbow colored Fiesta Margarita at the cart beside the CS stand in Mexico. This one can cause trouble if you drink it fast! Not that I would know...

I just thought of 1 more we tried last week. DH and I each got a "Dad's Electric Lemonade to go from the Prime Time Lounge. It took me almost an hour to drink it, but it was so good!

I second the Fiesta Margarita's from Mexico... And there used to be a beach club in PI (I haven't been there in a while) - They had jello shots --- those sent many of us to the drunk end of the spectrum...

Lapu Lapus are awesome.

Try a Bananas Foster Martini at the Crew Cup Lounge in the Yacht Club.

The Frozen Mudslides at the ESPN Club are some of the best I've ever had.

Lapu Lapu. It costs $11 but it's worth every penny. It's served in a hollowed out pineapple with an umbrella sticking out of it......very sweet, but very good

Not sure of the name--Tambu Lounge has a frozen drink with orange & pineapple flavors. It's the best frozen drink I've had anywhere!! Although, I intend to try many others this September!!

then proceded to RNR and felt fine. My husband calls me a science experiment with a hollow leg. I really did not think there was any liquor in them.


I am a vodka martini or vodka tonic drinker. I like the drinks at Mizner's at the GF. Good drinks, nice conversation and live music in a great location. I have met the nicest people there.

You need to peruse the thread on the theme board - no, what's it called... hmmm Drinking around the world??? I know Wildernesslodgelover will be around to help me!! the thread has dubbed all those that enjoy a drink... "lushes of the world" LOTW... guess I flunked that, and i have to get dinner!! It seems to have started on the monorail, stopping at the various monorail resorts for a specialty drink, or was it going around the world thru Epcot - - ... I do remember reading a whole report with pictures of drinks around Epcot!! (and I didnt like the fiesta magaritas - too many flavors... and one that I didnt care for!!)

If you enjoy pina coladas, try the ones served at tambu lounge in the poly. Theyre creamy, delicious and quite strong. Though, because of their heaviness and sweetness it's difficult to drink more than one.

OMG! Different bartender, maybe? LOL! I usually have a high tolerance, but this thing burned when it went down.

I felt the same way about the Lapu Lapus. I kept hearing everyone say how strong they were and they will knock you out etc... I had one and it was like a fruity drink. I didnt get it. Then on another trip I had another one and then I saw what all the fuss was about.

I have to say Tambu Lounge as well, there are a lot of good drinks there!
