Best Meal I Ever Had At WDW Was At...........

There have been so many times I've sat mmmm-ing and oh my god-ing over my food at Disney that I don't know if I can name just one... but I'll try. ;) I'll go with Artist Point. It was a really memorable experience because it was on the DP and I wouldn't have been able to afford it otherwise. Plus, it was delicious and has left me with a soft spot for the location ever since. I had the spring rolls, buffalo, and berry cobbler.

There are quite a few that I've really loved but the one that stands out was our wedding reception dinner at Yachtsman Steakhouse. The food was excellent and atmosphere unbelievable!

Hands down, the hot turkey served at LTT....it was plentiful and good- a combination we rarely found on the DP this year.

Something I discovered two weeks ago: the lettuce wraps at the bar at the Poly! Best lettuce wraps I ever had - great grilled chicken, bib lettuce, shredded carrots and cucumbers, some kind of Asian slaw, and peanut sauce. It's only $8 and enough for two people (as an appetizer) or a meal for one. I wish we had discovered them earlier in our trip - but we only found them on our last night.

(Added bonus: they're a pretty healthy food choice! veggies and chicken, how can you go wrong with that?)

I love lettuce wraps! What restaurant at the Poly?? Sounds like a must try for me!

Le Cellier--the tomato stack, mushroom filet and risoto and vanilla creme brulee with berry "goo" (not compote, not jam, so this is the non-technical word!).

My dream meal would be Spinach Garlic dip from Grand Floridian Cafe, the aforementioned mushroom filet, and Narcoossee's Almond Crusted Cheesecake!

Had many a great meal at WDW spots over the years, but the best was the first--at the Papeete Bay Verandah, 1975. I still remember what I had--"Pigs and Prawns", (three large slices of pork tenderloin with 3 oversized tempura style shrimp ) along with an appetizer of scallops in coconut and lime, (there must have been 6 or seven scallops) and some cheescake for dessert. And a couple of Seven Seas cocktails to wash it all down. I still have those souvenier glasses.
How good was the meal? So good that we went back again the next night and I got the exact same thing!!

Bluezoo ....
I had a lobster/pasta dish with mozzarella cheese .... dessert was an amazing sampler platter ... it is by far the most delicious meal I have ever had at Disney! :thumbsup2

How long ago was this? I checked the menu on their official site, & didn't see the pasta or a dessert sampler. They both sound wonderful!

We haven't done any fancy restaurants, but my two best meals were:

San Angel Inn - Mahi Mahi a la Veracruzana. Mmmm. With a Dos Equies (sp)
Kona - the Hawaiian Plated Lunch with the teriyaki fried steak. Amazing!

hoping to do a nice sit down place when we get back there in 2008!

Oh, I remember Papeete Bay Verandah!! They did have great food. I loved the breakfast...Minnie something or other. I liked it so much better than O'hana. I'm probably in the minority there, though.

My favorites this past trip were:

Le Cellier- shrimp cocktail appy, Mushroom filet or Maple glazed filet(loved them both) and sorbet duo of peach and blackberry(?)

The character breakfast was Minnie's Menehune. I just came across our kids' certificates of attendance from 1987. And at that time it wasn't just called The Polynesian. It was the Polynesian Village. The breakfast was the most delicious buffet spread.

You are right. I have my boys' certificates as well and all the characters signed them. The boys loved this one because they were both in love with Minnie! This was by far the best buffet and we were very disappointed when they stopped it.

A few years back at the Yachtsman. Crusty bread with roasted garlic, caesar salad, filet mignon cooked perfectly with a side of mushrooms, bernaise sauce, mashed potatoes and some rich sinful chocolate cake type thing.

And a little bit of trivia (is that redundant?) Menehune is the Hawaiian term for little people.

Narcoosee's...The crab cake appetizers, the whole maine lobster entree, and the key lime creme brulee dessert! :thumbsup2

Yachtsman, started with grilled scallops and had a new york strip in bourbon sauce, and a wonderful dessert..

The best meal of my last trip was at LeCellier-the mushroom filet w/ the risotto and the creme brule. Although, if I could have switched the mussles there for the land and sea from Coral Reef, it would be have one of the best meals I have ever had!

Yachtsman's...I had Farmer's salad, shared Chateaubriand, and a dessert sampler...YUMMMMMM
