Best Marriott Property (NOT Fairfield) Near Disney

I am trying to weigh out my options for a first time vacation with my family (husband, father in law and kids= ages 7,6 and 3). We have Marriott points to use and I wonder if I should use those instead of staying on Property.
On the one hand, save some cash but is the parking a hastle?
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I would say it depends on your budget. The Disney hotels are a complete rip-off, comparatively speaking. If you're planning on being out and about the whole time and really just sleeping in the room, I would go with your MR Points. If you're wanting to go back and forth between your hotel, then the Disney resort may be beneficial.

I wouldn't let the parking dictate your decision. It is easy to deal with.

I've stayed at the Courtyard on Palm Parkway a few times (I think they list it as the Courtyard at Vista Centre). It certainly doesn't have the luxury of a full Marriott, but I found it comfortable. Last time I was there the pool was in refurb, but that was awhile ago. One advantage to the Palm Parkway locations is you're already on the right side of I-4, and you're very close to the Downtown Disney entrance.
