Want to send my dd in college some Florida oranges.
I've seen there is a few companies on the internet but not sure
If some are betters than others.

Why is everything starred out? Noticed that on the new bus design thread too. :confused3

Hi, There is an orange grove in Nokomis FL that I have visited, ordered from and it is family owned. Fruit is packed well and guaranteed to be fresh and edible. Just type in key words to google and I am sure the name will come up. (I think it would be blocked if I tried to put the name on the Dis Boards) Joan

I'm not seeing anything starred out, unless people had their entire posts deleted. Assuming it was a glitch that's now been fixed (b/c each time I preview my post it all comes through just fine).....

Joan, is this the one you're talking about? http://www.nokomisgroves.com/default.aspx

My mom and stepdad used to send me fruit from Hale Groves. Tasty tasty.

I like Hale Groves' fruit. It's always fresh and sweet.

My aunt sends us a half-bushel of navel oranges and a half-bushel of grapefruit for Christmas every year. It's waaaay too much fresh fruit, especially since DH can't have grapefruit, so we share the wealth with friends and neighbors. Order less than you think she'll be able to eat/share.

Yes that is the Grove I have been to :) If anyone is ever in the Venice area of FL it is definitely worth a visit. Joan

I've been sending my parents fruit from Hale Groves for years and they say it's the best!:cool1:

We receive a gift of oranges from Hale Groves every year from my brother. They are good, especially the honeybells that are available this time of year. Very sweet and juicy.

Try Red Hill Groves. They are right down the street from me and I can personally vouch for their citrus. I love stopping in and chatting with Ted and Ed while I sip their OJ.

They have even helped my dd with her 4H citrus project last year.

Hale's Grove is good, as is Harvey's Groves. Our personal favourite right now is Gregory's Groves. They have amazing customer service. My last shipment to my hubby's Grandmother got nipped a bit by the frost during transit, and one call to them and they're sending out replacements that exceed what was damaged.

I just want to add to this post, that if I know my brother as well as I think I do, Hale Groves offers very good value. :rolleyes1
