Best Lunch at MK area

I'm looking at lunch TS options at MK or monorail resorts. My family will be myself, DH and DS2. We pretty much eat anything and my 2 year old will eat from our plates. We will be on DxDP. Which restaurant would you recommend? I'm thinking either WCC, Kona, or Grand Floridian Cafe.

We will be staying at AKL. So my plans right now are MK in the morning, a break at the hotel and head to AK at around MK. I really wanted Tusker House for lunch but it wouldn't make sense to go to MK, then AK then AKL then back to AK?! Even in a cab/ Uber, it's just too much...

If you are on dining plan, WCC has a huge all you can eat lunch option. it is delicious and they let us take the leftovers. plus, the atmosphere and staff are wonderful there!

Also like the Plaza at MK and Be our Guest. if you have not done BOG, it is a great experience.
Avoid Tony's at MK. food is not great.

the food at Grand Floridian cafe was not my favorite, but the atmosphere was lovely.

We are in the exact same boat for our upcoming trip. Maybe The Wave for lunch? What are your ADR's for dinner? I do love WCC but like pp said, the portions are huge. If you are dining somewhere special for dinner and you don't want to "spoil" your meal, I would go for something light at The Wave at CR.

Dinner for ADR right now is Tusker House (and trying for ROL) since I can't fit it in for lunch. So I've actually cut off WCC since Tusker House is a buffet. My thoughts are either Kona or Sanaa now (since we are headed back to AKL for a break anyway)... We have BOG dinner slated for another day (fingers crossed!).

We ate at the Grand Floridian Café for the first time in March and loved it. The interior was very pretty and peaceful with lots of windows to view the resort atmosphere. We had excellent service and really enjoyed our meals. I had shrimp and grits, DH had a surf and turf burger. For what it's worth, we're both picky eaters and can't claim to be adventurous foodies, but definitely looking forward to going back this fall.

Yes, this is my thought! It's either Sanaa or Kona... The menu both sound good but I am leaning towards Sanaa. My problem is... would it be similar to Tusker House?!

I was going to say Kona but if you if you're heading to AKL I would definitely do Sanaa. The food there is amazing, and so is the view! I've never been to Tusker House but looking at their menu I see very few similarities between the two. Sanaa has an amazing bread service and I thoroughly enjoyed their butter chicken. Kona is amazing, too, and they have chocolate banana crème brulee which just might be my favorite thing ever. Difficult decision.... But since you're staying at AKL I would do Sanaa. That's what we're doing this summer, too!

Lunch at GFC is a must for us every trip. I know it isn't on your short list right now, but it is such a lovely, quiet break. We take the boat over and you can take the monorail back to MK. The lobby is fun to explore and we always have great service, even during crowded months, it never feels crowded. There are so e nice light dishes on the menu, great salads, light appetizers. If you don't try it this time, keep it in mind for another time!

Hmm... I thought we could order the bread service as an appetizer to share under the DxDP? Anyone has any experience with this?

I didn't catch the plan. Yes under the deluxe plan you can order the bread service as an app!
