Best Location

What DVC resort is the best location to visit 4 theme parks. I thought that BCV/BWV would be best because it is easy o get to MGM and EPCOT. But some people are saying that is very difficult to get to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom or even Downtown Disney.

These same people said that Saratoga Springs is the most convient to the theme parks.

Any help appreciated.

I would agree that SSR (and in second place OKW) has the best access to Downtown Disney. I would disagree about theme park access. AKV would have quickest access to AK, VWL would have fastest access to MK, and BCV/BWV would have best access to MGM and Epcot. No resort has best access to all parks. I would say the SSR probably has the best bus access to all other resorts, since you can get directly from DD to all Disney resorts.

We rent a car and usually drive to the parks except for the Magic Kingdom. So for us ease of access is not something we consider when booking. We go for the resort that we enjoy the most for its own amenities.

I'm a patient guy and just wait for the bus no matter which DVC resort I happen to be at. If I'm close enough to walk, I may walk which puts Boardwalk and BC as an advantage to two parks. However, with the buses, all resorts are "about" equal when it comes to getting to parks or DTD.

I have recently purchased at BWV, but have never stayed there. That said, when we stayed at CSR in Jan 2006 and May 2007, we found that MGM was a great hub for getting to the rest of the world. Just take the boat over to MGM and you'll find all kinds of buses leaving from there. Good luck.

We dont own at BWV, but have had the best luck there by far. Although we do spend a lot of time at MGM and EPCOT (and never DTD). We usually only do 1 day a week at AK so 1 bus ride there is no big deal. As for MK-it is a ways but we always find we are the last on the MK bus and it goes directly there. On the return it has always been directly to S&D and we get off there and walk across the bridge- so again very easy and direct.
