Staying in a one bedroom villa at Saratoga and I am wondering what would be the best location to request? Are there nicer rooms in certain sections? What is the best location?
Thank you!

I have only stayed at SSR once, but I requested Congress Park since proximity to DTD was important to me. SSR is a very big resort: It's best to think of what's important to you. Will you want to be near quick service to refill mugs and get meals, or will you have drinks and food in your villa, in which case that's not a priority? Do you hope to spend lots of time by the pool, or will you be traveling during the winter where pool use might be limited? If so, which pool is best for you? Do you want to be within walking distance to DTD, or will you be taking the bus? What is a perfect location for one family may be a totally different spot for another. :)

We stayed at the Paddock building right next to the Paddock pool our last stay there. Was great for the kids with the pool so close, food/beverage station right there as well as a bus stop on the backside of the pool building. Walking to DTD was an extra 5 min or so vs Congress, but having the other stuff there off set it. Walking to the main pool/buildings didn't even take 5 min and proved exciting. A rouge 5'-6' gator was hanging out under the bridge and then up on the embankment. No worries though, Disney's crack pest brigade was on it in minutes making sure no one got to close. However, living in New England, we don't get those experiences often. :scared1:

I like Congress Park for the convenient walk to DTD. I know when I was there in August though it was closed, so I would check on that first. Also, the location lends itself to some of the prettiest views the resort has to offer (not guaranteed of course).

A close second is the Springs section. You're close to the gym, spa, restaurants, gift shop, and a feature pool.

EDIT: The walk to DTD was closed, not the Congress Park section, just to be clear.

I think the rooms themselves are all pretty much the same. The 1 BR suite is very nice... I splurged on one last spring. We had a great view of the hot air balloon in DTD and it was a very convenient walk to get there. Have a lovely time.

We stayed in the Grandstand section last summer and thought it was great. The pool in the Grandstand area has a small snack bar, you're first on/off for the park busses, plus its just a 5 minute walk to the Carriage House and main pool.

Grandstand is my favorite because you are the first on the bus before it goes around the resort, so you always get a seat. Also, coming back from the parks, you are the first off the bus.

My family has always loved Congress Park. The proximity to DTD is really nice, even with the closed walkway, and it's a bit more quiet over there. Paddock is fun with the new pool and the bridge to walk over. Grandstand also has a large separate pool area. The Springs is right next to the main pool and building, which is good for families.

If you're going with kids, definitely recommend Paddock, Springs, or Grandstand. If it's just adults, Congress Park is a good bet.
