Best Location and Pool for Adults

Looking at revising the resort for our late September trip. Currently at Wilderness Lodge (not going to keep that one) and there are two adults who have been several times before. We'd probably spend the day at the pool (not doing rope drop) and then head to the park late afternoon and stay through closing (REALLY hoping Disney moves to later closing times for the parks). I'm leaning toward Beach Club ($500 a night) but we can stay at Contemporary ($435) or Grand Floridian ($550). Being able to walk to MK is enticing (never stayed at Contemporary) but the pool at Contemporary looks really subpar compared to Beach Club. And Grand Floridian (never stayed there either) seems like a middle option for pools between Contemporary and Beach Club, but you can't walk to MK (correct)?

You can walk to MK from Grand Floridian, they just finished the path this year.

I think Stormalong Bay beats any other hotel pool out there! But we’ve stayed at the Contemporary and enjoyed the pool there too. It’s not as good as SAB but it gets the job done! On the monorail loop I think the Poly has the best pool. Technically I think you can walk from the Poly to GF and then take the new path from GF to MK but it’s probably not very efficient.

I know this is not one of the hotels in your above list, but the BoardWalk Inn has an adult leisure pool in the courtyard area, that is perfect for adult relaxation and like Beach Club, you can walk to either Epcot or Hollywood Studios at night. Of course, the Beach Club has a lovely leisure pool, but probably along the same lines as the Contemporary leisure pool. Have a great trip -- you really cannot go wrong with any hotel, but I would select a hotel with access to two pools to have options.

Thanks! Boardwalk was top of the list but isn't currently available for the 25% discount. So not Contemporary or Grand Floridian?

GF’s Courtyard Pool is the nicest adult pool I’ve seen. Most children are over at the slide/waterfall pool leaving adults to enjoy the beautiful large courtyard pool, bar, and hot tub. IMO 🤷‍♀️

The Contemporary pool is nice by the water, not sure if you were interested in "more" themed pools as opposed to leisure "quiet" pools. Agree with other posters, the Grand Floridian has two great pools with nice poolside bars and refreshments, too. Again, any hotel from your list will be nice.

Totally agree! We spent about 10 minutes packed like sardines in the GF feature pool before relocating to the amazing courtyard pool that had ONE other family there. So relaxing. It is delightful.

Love the poly oasis pool and location of Poly, especially when fireworks start again!
