As a lifelong resident of Orlando I can attest that there is a severe lack of good lobster without paying a fortune for it. If you get lucky enough to find a place serving fresh florida spiney lobster cooked on a grill you will be in heaven. Other than that most likely will be maine lobster flown in that you will pay to much for. That said here are my recommendations for seafood:
1. Dixie Crossroads (Titusville) - as many others have said here worth the drive for the rock shrimp and they do have maine lobster as well.
2. Boston's Fish house (Orlando 2 locations) - Fried New England style seafood extremely fresh and good. Best fried clams in florida (both sliced and Ipswich full bellied). Will not be disappointed if you like fried seafood, as they change the oil every day.
3. Crabby Bills (Indian Rocks beach near St. Pete) - Good Florida style seafood served very casually. Everything from oysters, crab, crab legs, lobster you name it they probably have it.
4. The Crab House (Orlando several locations) - Best crab cakes anywhere, also really good cold seafood buffet (blue crab, oysters, clams, mussels, etc.)
5. Lee and Ricks oyster bar (Orlando) - oysters, oysters, oysters. Sit at the oyster bar and get em by the bucket.
6. Shells (various locations) - good plain seafood, big portions at a good price. Shrimp pasta is excellent.
7. If you are in the keys and find a place grilling fresh florida lobster try it you will love it. Even better catch them yourself or find somplace selling them and just throw them on the grill with some melted butter along with some fresh grouper and conch and have the best feast of your life.
Hope this helps.
