Best line time killers?

Ok pros...

So what are the BEST ways to entertain a little one (age 7) while in lines? I just ordered a travel electronic simon and a couole other handheld games. Any other suggestions?

Talk, I spy, would you rather. I love the time in lines with my daughter as time neither of us were distracted. Yes, games are fun to an extent but we used these infrequently as they didn’t add to our ‘family’ time and also had to be carried all day. The Disney Play app was fun at times es too. Another good option at that age was starting to look for Hidden Mickey’s.

We played heads up (disney version). My kids had other weird hand games they would play. We never minded waiting in lines... it was great bonding time. We also just talk about our day, what we liked, what we didn't, plan for the next things, decide what we are going to eat next etc.
In most lines, there are lots of things to look at as well.

I spy is a great one, and talking about interesting things in the queue, what things they have loved so far, what snacks they want to get, stuff like that. It can be a great time to just make your kiddo feel seen and listened to with some undivided attention. My kids rarely get that from me (I work from home and have 5 of them), so it is very valuable to them to be heard.

We also do play Disney together for some of the queues.

I saw quite a few parties doing heads up ages varied from younger to young adult to full on adults, we even played it for a bit in Test Track line. Just make sure to keep up with the line, I saw a few people who got concentrated on the guessing and forgot they still have to move

If you play heads up you may choose to do use someone's phone who doesn't get used a lot that way you're not wasting the battery life too quickly on just the game but it sure can be fun to play it

I downloaded a bunch of Disney "would you rather" question cards, I'm going to print and laminate them and throw them in our park bag then on the last day give them to another family!

Eye Spy is another good one, looking at pictures you've taken so far, chatting with other guests, Interactive queues for some rides... my kids will be 6&8 and have never been to an amusement park before so waiting in long lines will be new for them but from what I recall there is just so much to look at that even long lines don't feel long
