Best light food in theme parks CS?

We will be at WDW in July when it will be very hot and humid (and understatement!). We tend to eat pretty healthy anyway, and I can't see eating burgers and fries for 5 days straight while touring the parks. Maybe for a meal, but not each and every one of them! Each day our lunch will be at a CS location at a theme park. We will spend 2 days at MK and one day at each of the other 3 parks.

What is the best healthy or light food for lunch in the parks? I looked at the menus and saw several items, but wondering which ones taste the best. Are the salads fresh? Grilled chicken not too salty (I know, asking too much)? I also noticed that with many meals, you have a choice of either fries or something healthier (carrot sticks, etc.), so that's good too. I just can't see myself eating fried foods or very heavy foods while touring the parks on a very hot July day. I tend to lose my appetite easily in the heat and humidity, and I have a very sensitive stomach so heavy food would not be a good combination with the weather!

Thanks,
Bonnie

There is so much variety in CS at the World, I think! I would say that pizza can be a lighter alternative, and there is pizza everywhere. Here are more specific ideas:
MK-CHH has tuna salad and soup
Epcot-Sunshine Season in the Land building has lots of great salads; we are big fans of the Moroccan CS and the chicken with hummus platter, and it's good to share especially in hot weather!
Studios-I haven't had a meal here, sorry; my plan for the next trip is to leave and get burgers, onion rings and ice cream at Beaches and Cream! That's definitely NOT light! :rotfl:
AK-We used to love Tusker House and the chicken; I think you can find something like that at Flame Tree.

As a fall-back position, don't forget that Disney is great about letting guests bring food into the parks. We pack plenty of healthy food and snacks in soft-sided cooler bags.

You raise a good point about sodium. Even the healthier menu options are often (by necessity) highly processed. So while they may not be high-fat or high-calorie, some may be surprisingly high in sodium.

Be prepared that the CS salads are prepared in mass and are chilled. But turnover is so high that nothing is old. I have eaten ceasar salads in every CS location and always enjoyed them.

Another good option is fresh fruit. You can get apples, bananas, grapes, oranges and fruit salad in every park.
