Best Kissimmee Hotel Under $100 a night

I'm looking for your opinions of a nice clean hotel in the Kissimmee area that is less then $100 a night.

I've seen many suggestions for Gaylord Palms and the Marriott whichamacallit. I'm sure these hotels are super nice and one day I'd love to try them out but we can't afford $200 a night right now.

We are staying On site for a week in October but have to attend my cousins wedding a few days before in Poinciana (Kissimmee). So we need "before Disney" accommodations for a few days.

We do have AAA so hotels that have AAA discounts are possible for us.

A plus would be free breakfast but our biggest concern is that it is CLEAN.

these are all Lake Buena Vista which is closer to WDW than kissimmee.

Check Priceline vacation packages. Look for the Hilton. If you don't see it, start bidding $94 for a resort. If it's available, you'll get the Gaylard Palms. If not, use your free re-bid and select $97. If it's available, you'll get the Hyatt Grand Cypress (note: if the Hilton & Hyatt are in the vacation pacakages, bid $97 and you'll likely get the Hyatt... there's no way to be sure about Gaylard).

If the Hilton's in the vacation packages and is acceptable to you, bid $60 and you'll get it.

I'll check these all out and thanks for the Priceline tutorial. I looked into using Priceline but I wasn't sure how to "maneuver" around and what to bid and I was afraid of getting a "fleabag" for a high price. I'll give your suggestion a try (we also need a hotel for the day after our disney stay so I may try and bid on priceline for that night first so that if I strike out, it is only a one night deal.)

Be careful! Just because Hilton is not in the Vacation Packages, does NOT mean it will not come up as a standalone. Bidding $90+ could simply result in an overbid on the Hilton, since, when it is available, usually comes up at $60.

The Hilton is a wonderful option, sometimes there are web specials in the $80/night range, and that way you would be guaranteed to get that hotel.

Disney is one of Priceline's most predictable areas. The Hilton will always show up via the vacation pacakages if it's availabe at $60/night... if it's not available, it either won't show up or it will have a high price tag. This is not true of all hotels or all areas, but it has proven true of Disney.

The Hilton does appear to be available for $60/night for your travel dates. IMO, it's the best value -- an upscale hotel with lavish service & amenities, an excellent executive lounge (easy to access even if you're not an HHonors member... it has a continental breakfast, hours devoures, snacks and beverages) & a quick five-minute walk to Marketplace. However, it's not a true resort (although it has a nice pool area) and lacks the Disney ambience.

If a true resort is important to you, bid $94 for the Gaylard Palms (which is available via Hotwire, albeit at a higher price, and therefore will be available via Priceline) or $97 for the Hyatt (which appears to be available via Priceline). The latter may result in an "overbid" for the Hilton but the risk appears to be very, very low.

IMO, Priceline is the best resource for cheap hotel rooms. It's star rating is more strict than AAA, and they stand behind it (you get a dump 3* and complain, you'll get your $$$ back). I just returned from the Sheraton Maui Kaanapali... I paid $185/night and was upgraded to a Deluxe Ocean Front room (that was selling for nearly $700... the hotel's lowest rate was $410, not an exaggeration!)

Resort.

99.9% if not 100% of the time, if the Gaylard and/or Hyatt is available on Hotwire, they'll be on Priceline so "overbidding" carries a low risk.
