I was posting an answer to another poster and got to wondering ( a dangerous thing some times)...

Every one makes a point to eat at what I call "the Usual Suspects"
Le Cellier, Boma, Chef Mickey's, CRT but what are some on the great "lesser known" restuarants.

I have 2. The first one is the Yacht club galley (I think they changed the name recently). It is one of the best breakfastes on site. Food is always hot & delicious and it never, ever seems crowded. You can get both the buffet or made to order breakfast. They have some excellent hot chocolate.

My second one is Big River grille & brewing. Go there for lunch and have one of their awesome burgers.

anyone else have a favorite, that may not be as well known.

I personally think that Kona Cafe is much better than Ohana.

We also like Jiko's better than Boma.

I agree that Yacht Club Galley (I also forget it's new name) is quite good for breakfast.

We used to always eat at Pecos Bill's but now go to Cosmic Rays - yes, I like the sappy comedy act. :)

The food court at the Land Pavillion (my mind hasn't woken up yet..) is the best choice for *my* family at Epcot.

Is it now the Captain's Grill? It looks like it only serves a buffet. I was looking for a place to get a CS breakfast on our last day not in a park.

I agree about the food court at the Land....we were blown away by the choices there. Lots of healthy choices and home cooked food.

Flame Tree BBQ is a great CS. Foods great. DH gets his order of ribs, I get the kids chicken wing meal and we share. The seating area is very un CS too, most tranquil.

another vote for grand floridian cafe - they have a really good cobb salad at lunch, and crab cakes at dinner!

Marrekesh in Morocco

Plaza Restaurant in MK (can be hit or miss, tho)

Yakatori House

Restaurant Marrakesh

Grand Floridian Cafe

Trail's End - though might not be so much of a "secret" as a pain in the patootie to get to

Garden Grill - although the secret is kind of out on that one now.

Just make sure you are under an umbrella or roof - the birds are pretty bad there

Our faves are Boatwrights at POR (we've never had a bad meal there) and the Plaza @ MK. The Plaza is so relaxing and has great sandwiches.:goodvibes

My best kept restaurant secret is the Grand Floridian Cafe. We have eaten here many times and always had great meals and service.

Lunch at the Big River Grille Grille is always very good and never crowded.

Grand Floridian Cafe is my choice, too. We've always had great food and good service, plus the atmosphere is nice. The fish of the day is always fantastic!!!:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Maya grill at CSR has a breakfast buffet that we loved so much we did it 3 times in 6 days!! :rotfl: It was always completely empty and the hot chocolate got my days started on the right foot!!

Mine are two resort CS's:

1) Mara: CS at AKL: food here is fantastic AND they serve specialties from Boma like butternut squash soup, chicken strips, and zebra domes!

2) Captain Cooks: CS at Poly: again, fantastic food!! I love the turkey club on multigrain (very fresh and tasty), I also love the Poly chips, and I'm dying to try their Adult Grilled Cheese. Also, they are the only other place you can get Dole Whips besides MK!!

In my opinion, these places should not be missed!!
