Sunshine Seasons Food Court in the Land Pavillion at Epcot for breakfast. Get a fast pass for Soarin' and have some eggs, oatmeal with raisins, or yogurt while you wait. Never crowded, like the resort food courts are in the morning. Okay, now I've gone and done it . . .

I agree with Grand Floridian Cafe and Sunshine Seasons. If you're at the MK take the small boat over to the Grand Floridian. It's fun and makes the evening a little more special. We'll be trying some new restaurants next month (Boma and Kona) and are looking forward to returning to LeCellier.

The Plaza (right behind the ice cream shop on main street in MK) has been our "first night" stop for years. The reubens and sandwiches are wonderful and their ice cream concoctions are made in the ice cream shop itself (so no standing in line). We time our ADR with the WISHES show and are able to walk right to an excellent spot for viewing. The complete menu is on allearsnet.com. Good Food, Friendly Service, Great Location...what more can you ask

I'd suggest Plaza in the MK, Sand Trap Grill at the Eagle Pines/Osprey Ridge golf course, Olivia's at OKW, the food court in the Land and the Earl of Sandwich in DTD.

Another vote for Restaurant Marrakesh in Morocco.
Haven't been to the Plaza Restaurant in years, but it was great then.
We also love the Columbia Harbour House for a quick CS meal in the MK. There soup and sandwich choice is great and I love their tuna sandwich.

No one mentions much about Shulas, but its a great place for awesome steaks, great wine list and romantic atmosphere....tho a bit pricey, but you only live once, right?

PS....make sure to order the Choc. Lava cake....yummmy!

Is it now the Captain's Grill? It looks like it only serves a buffet. I was looking for a place to get a CS breakfast on our last day not in a park.

If you are referring to the TS at YC/BC, (don't know the new name either) they do do a buffet b-fast available along with a full service b-fast menu if you choose.

Captain Cooks @ Poly ~ The Hawaiin (sp?) Flatbread (ham & pineapple ) is wonderful. Haven't been there since they added Dole Whip & Tonga Toast...but cannot wait for Sept 08!

Kona ~ Ok..the food here is fabulous (imo) for breakfast, lunch and dinner..however...the hidden gem here...is the Wasabi Bloody Mary...I NEVER drink them anywhere, anytime because I think they tomato juice and vodka are nasty ...but these things are MAGICAL.Tons of fabulous smooth flavor with a kick! Next to the Ohana Colada lovestruc ) this is my favorite Disney Drink.

This may not be a secret but we ate at Yak & Yeti for the first time at AK and loved it!

On a recent trip our three favorite meals were at Kona Cafe, Grand Floridian Cafe and Concourse Steakhouse. And we hit all the big places (Ohana, Boma, Le Cellier, Liberty Tree, Chef Mickey, 50's Prime Time, Biergarten, etc).

It's funny because I spent all my time scheduling dinners at the big name restaurants. And those three were last minute additions. While they lacked the atmosphere of the big name places, the food was excellent at all three.

We went to Kona Cafe for dinner. Our best meal of the entire trip. We keep talking about it two months later. We'll go back at least once, maybe twice our next trip.

Grand Floridian Cafe was a quick lunch stop. The place was empty, and we were able to walk in without reservations. They had the best service of our trip. Everyone loved the food.

Concourse Steakhouse was the first stop on our trip. The original plan was dinner at Crystal Palace (followed by parade and fireworks). But the hassle of getting everyone from the airport to the hotel, and then into the park in time for dinner was just going to be too much trouble. So we decided to take it easy, stay out of the parks, and just swing by the Contemporary for dinner. The food and service were both excellent. It was the perfect start to our vacation.

Is there a thread devoted to advice like this? I'd like to jot down a few "adventuresome" mixed drinks to try while down there for my vacation.
