What is the best place for an Italian meal? Do you recommend lunch or dinner?

On property? Il Mulino. But it's at the Swan, so you can't use DDP or charge to your room. Otherwise, I'd say Trattoria al Forno ( dinner). Inside the parks- Tutto Italia in Epcot.

Despite reading mixed reviews last year we gave Trattoria a shot for dinner and loved it! Delicious food and great service. Cute little restaurant on the Boardwalk! We booked again for this Aug

In the moderate price range, my vote would be for Mama Melrose. My group of eleven enjoyed the food and service.

We have eaten at Via Napoli, Tutto Italia and Trattoria al Forno.

Our favorite was Trattoria al Forno. The food was great but the desserts were a little small on the serving size. Excellent service too (thanks Oscar!)

We haven't gotten to sample them all but our lunch at Mama Melrose was wonderful. We used the DxDDP and booked the Fantasmic package and just enjoyed everything.

I was pleasantly surprised by Via Napoli. The pizza was really good (albeit pricey) and the ambiance was relaxing rather than feeling like I am in a cafeteria, which I do feel at some restaurants.

I've tried Tutto Italia and Mama Melrose. The spaghetti and meatballs at Tutto Italia is my favorite - and I usually don't like restaurant red sauces (they are either too bland for me, or have too many "chunks" (ie., visible vegetables)). I had fettuccini Alfredo at Mama Melrose and liked it too, but not as much as the spaghetti at TI.

Via Napoli in Epcot for authentic pizza. I am Italian and have been to Italy 10 times. I can personally attest that the pizza is exactly like what they serve in Napoli and trust me, I'm picky!
We ate there with the kids one night and spoke to the chefs directly. They import their flour, water from Italy so that the dough taste authentic. That is crazy but I guess they are right!

Pretty well every meal we had in Italy last year was amazing but I suspect that is not what you are asking. For WDW we still like Tutto Italia.

We had a really good lunch at Mama Melrose. I can't say that it is better than some of the other places because we have only eaten at about 3 of the Disney Italian restaurants.

We were just there 2 weeks ago and ate at both Via Napoli (pizza and chicken caesar salad) and Trattoria al Forno.... We had great meals at both and would recommend eating at either or both!

How to say this.... all personal opinion, I'm not right you aren't wrong. We go to WDW twice per year, 12 years so far....

Go to Il Mulino. You will be very happy.
