Best Italian: Bice or Mama Dellas?!!

We are staying at Portofino and would like to have one nice sit down Italian meal...............which is best, Bice or Mama Dellas?! Would love to hear from anyone who has eaten at either/both with all comments good or bad!!!!!!

We have eaten at both several times and you can not go wrong with either one. It depends on your mood. Bice is very fancy but not stuffy. Mamma dellas is more a family type resturant- loud and cheerful. The food is great at both. We also love Trattoria! It has a fantastic dinner buffet. Hope you have a great time!

Definately Mama Dellas. We were extremely disappointed in Bice. (both food and service)

Another vote for Mama Della's.

I have never been completely satisfied with any visit to Bice (although some individual dishes are quite good).

Can someone explain exactly what is wrong with Bice's food?

Nothing is wrong.The food is more gourmet/eclectic and does not appeal to everyone.The price may also figure into it as well,Bice is almost twice as expensive for us to eat at.
We are going back to Bice in a few weeks and it was on our must list for 4 foodies with differing tastes.
