Best Ipod for 10 year old

My daughter wants an ipod for christmas but I really dont know what to buy her. What are the differnet kinds and can i get a quality on for under a hundred dollars? It seems like there are a ton out there.

You can get a refurb'd Ipod Nano for $99. They also have shuffles but not sure how much those are. My son wants one too. You may want to see what she wants out of it, just songs, video, recording, internet? I'm trying to figure all this stuff out too.

My DS9 and DS11 each got a Nano at the beginning of the year for their birthdays. They had the Disney Mix Stix, which were fine for the capacity they needed (they didn't have a lot of songs on it) but when it came time to upgrade they wanted a screen. I paid $145, so a refurb for $99 is a good deal.

If you buy a refurb, buy it from Apple's website. They have many models listed and it comes with Apple's warranty. I've never had a problem with them.

I bought my 9-year old a refurb nano from the apple store last year for $99. It appeared to be brand new and is still going strong nearly a year later.

See i didint even know the internet was something that was available with an ipod. LOL it will be primarily for music. I dont think I want her having the internet. Does she have to have that to download from itunes? Sorry i am really uneducated with electonics

My DD10 has had her iPod nano for over a year now and it's still in new condition. The only downside is if your child wants to download a lot of videos or tv shows. That eats a lot of the memory on the nano.
