We rarely have a reason to use a stroller for my 17 month old son but we're going to Disney World in a month & a lightweight travel stroller will be needed. We have a large stroller but it would be more of a burden trying to navigate the crowds & it's too short for me to push without being hunkered over. I'm 6' 4" & need a stroller made for taller people to push or something with handles that raise or lower to accomodate different height pushers. Since we'll rarely use it, I'd prefer not spend a lot of money on it, so keep that in mind. Any advice? Thanks.

The maclaren is a good stroller for tall people. the strollers alone are tall and then the handles extend if it is still not tall enough for you. What features are you looking for in the stroller.

Mac volo~ umbrella stroller no recline mesh seat {79.99-125.00}
Mac Quest~ {125.00+}
Mac Triumph~ limited recline {140.00+}
Mac Techno~ full recline {179.00+}

prices vary by retailer and year model. I don't know alot about the the quest or the triumph I have the techno and the volo.

The price of the Volo/Quest is the absolute most I'd be willing to spend on something that we'd hardly use. Some type of storage would be nice (mainly somewhere to put the diaper bag) but cupholders aren't really necessary.

MacLarens really hold their resale value. If you hardly used it, when you were done, you could sell it on ebay and get back at least half of what you paid :)

do a search on ebay for maclarens in the baby section and they have some pretty decent prices as well as patterns.

Cool, thanks. I found some under $55.00 there but am going to look around at Toys-R-Us & a few other places to see if they have one I can push around & see how I like it before I commit to it.

Also check your local target some carry the volo's and many disers have been able to get them on sale for around fifty dollars.

Macs are great strollers. We have the Volo and the Quest. They are wonderful for tall pushers. My DH is 6'2" and he loves it. They are worth every penney that you will pay!

If you have a Baby Depot, I would check them out. They had an umbrella stroller where the handles moved up for height. I can't remember if it was Graco or Evenflo. It was probably less than $80. I ended up getting a Baby Planet umbrella, but I paid $200 for it. It reclined fully and had a nice size basket.

ETA: I found it it's an Evenflo X Sport Plus. Amazon.com has it listed at $39.99. Like I said, I saw it at BabyDepot inside Burlington Coat Factory. It says it has Extendable Handle Height.

The Volo IS tall but it's not AS tall as the other Macs, and it doesn't have adjustable handles. My ex-dh is 6'4" and he would have preferred something with an extra inch or two, although the Volo was waaaaay better than most of the umbrellas we tried.

Also, the Evenflo goes to 40 lbs while the Macs go to 55 lbs, so in terms of long-term usability that might be a consideration.

The 2007 Volo came with a rain cover and you should be able to find it discounted. The 08 does not come with the rain cover.

when are you going to Disney? We'll be checking out 5/6. Perhaps we could "Share" a Maclaren Volo. Just a thought.
