Beaches and Cream at BC resort - The No Way Jose sundae definitely lived up to the hype!

Beaches and Cream and Plaza both have great options. My fave though is the PB&J shake at 50's Prime Time which I think you can just get at the bar area and not commit to a meal. Also, hear raves for Ghirardelli Ice Cream shop at Disney Springs, but we haven't tried that one yet.

Beaches and Cream, hands down the most unique on property. If you are ice cream lovers, try it. The sundaes are BIG but worth it. Both the No Way Jose and Milky Way sundae are fantastic.

I am also partial to the citrus swirl from Sunshine Tree Terrace in MK, which is much lighter and refreshing compared to the heavy sundaes.

Also... the Sea Salt Caramel sundae at Ghiradelli's in Disney Springs is out of this world!

Our favorite is the shop in France. They have unusual fllavors that are very good. There is a new place opening on the Boardwalk- Ample Hills. Looking forward to trying it since they make their own ice cream unlike most of the other WDW places which just serve Edy's.

As an ice cream LOVER, here are some of my favorites:

Ice cream shop in France: Get the pressed ice cream sandwich. The ice cream/gelato is incredibly creamy.
Beaches and Cream: Anything is good here. I had the No Way Jose, but my mom got the chocolate cake with a scoop of ice cream. It was a fantastic meal.
50's Prime Time/Tune-In Lounge: The PB&J float can be ordered at 50's or to-go at the Tune in Lounge. Imagine your favorite childhood sandwich in shake form!
50's Prime Time: Dad's Brownie Sundae. Imagine being left home alone as a kid and making your own sundae. Yeah, it'd probably look a lot like this. A hot chocolate brownie topped with vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, caramel sauce, M&Ms, sprinkes, other toppings and whipped cream and a cherry.
Ice Cream Sandwich at The Plaza: Two Gigantic warm chocolate chip cookies and about 2 scoops of ice cream. Need I say more? You can easily share. If you get vanilla ice cream, it'll melt as you eat it and seep into the bottom cookie, giving you a milk and cookies taste!
Cronut a la mode: The ice cream is nothing special, but when it combines with the hot, buttery, cinnamon cronut, it's magic.

I NEED to try: the new ice cream funnel cake in American Pavilion.

I have a question, is it ok to book beaches and cream just for desserts. I would of course book at an off time, I just don't want to do something that is frowned upon.

You can order anything from the ice cream menu except for the full sized kitchen sink from the carry out line at Beaches and Cream. There are tables and chairs outside just down a few steps from the entrance if you want to sit and eat them.

Favorite is the ice cream shop in France, I have to go there every time I'm at WDW, mint chocolate chip in a cone.
Second favorite the Soda Shop at the Dolphin. Good old fashioned soda shop type place with a restaurant side with tables and a counter and a separate walk up side. Real shakes, hand packed ice cream.

I second this!!! Best ice cream i've had on property!!!! My fave is the lemon meringue. Oh dear heavens, its just about the best thing i've ever tried! Im drooling just thinking about it!
