IMO, I don't think dole whips are as good as they use to be. They use to be much more of an indulgence than they are now. Plus, they've reduced the serving size dramatically.

Yes, in October I had my first dole whip. I was not impressed! But, in September. I will try another one. Or maybe a citrus swirl, they sound divine!! I love everything ice cream. i cant wait to try beaches & cream, and ghiradellis!

I almost hate to even write this as it seems almost sacreligious on these boards, but I had my first in May after all the hype from these boards and I disliked it very much. I had to throw it away.

Sorry, but I wanted to share another person's opinion. I like pineapple, but it's not my favorite fruit. I found the dole whip to be too tart for my tastes.

Pineapple and Vanilla swirl from Aloha Isle. (I get at least 2 of these)
Strawberry and Vanilla swirl from Enchanted Grove.
Vanilla waffle cone from the Main Street Ice Cream Parlor
Minnie's Strawberry bar with yogurt coating from Cart
Mickey Ice Cream Bar from Cart
Tollhouse Ice Cream Sandwich from Cart

Did I mention that I love ice cream?

Pineapple Soft Serve, made with Dole Pineapple juice. Available only in Adventureland at the Aloha Isle.

Very un-DIS I know but our tradition is the Nestle toll house ice cream sandwiches from the Tomorrowland cart, right by the Indy cars. My mouth is watering already!

DW and I don't care for them either but we thought they didn't have enough flavor. We have a place in town called Christy Creme (not to be confused with Krispy Creme donuts)that has 8 different flavors of soft serve sherbert and their pineapple sherbert puts the Dole Whip to shame. Aloha Isle won't be getting any business from us again.

My favorite is a Mickey's Premium.

Nice to see that another person likes Mrs. Potts. We don't get the dole whip hype either. Club Cool was ruined, by the way, with that horrid renovation. The ice tunnel made it fun.

WOW this thread has really taken off, Very sad news i have never had a dole whip.I am very allergic to pineapples and never wanted to chance it.Last time a sked if i could get a pinapple free dole whip the young girl cm around 17 shugged her shoulders and told me she did not know for sure,But i think pinapple is the major ingredient so thats like ordering a choclate milk and asking them no choclate,please.

WELCOME to the DISboards, magicpuppies15s!

1. The Dole Whip "Store" (a couple of windows in the side of a building, really) is called "Aloha Isle".

2. Aloha Isle is located in Adventureland, just inside from the Hub, across the walkway from the Swiss Family Treehouse.

3. It is the only place in all of WDW to get a Dole Whip.

4. "Dole Whip" is the ICE CREAM (soft serve) treat, itself.

5. "Dole Whip Float" is pineapple juice with the Dole Whip added to it (floating in the juice).

6. You can order the Dole Whip alone (which is what we prefer) or you can order the "Float".

Regardless, the Aloha Isle is always listed on my WDW itinerary...
Gotta have at least one Dole Whip, per trip (are you hip?)
