Best Hotel to combine convention + Disney

It seems that I will be in Orlando for two long consecutive weekends in May, and I would like to try to combine the conventions with a family trip to Disney. The conventions will be held at the Crown Plaza Hotel at Orlando Airport. Any suggestions on where we can stay that will be relatively close to both locations AND budget-friendly?

I have looked at several house rental sites, but none have an exact location (just 10 minutes to DW, etc). I have thought about staying on property during the week, and closer to the convention site for each weekend, but that's a lot of moving around. What can you suggest?

the International airport and Disney are around 35 minutes apart. So you aren't going to find anything close to both.

there are some maps that show where the house rentals are - but most of these are close to WDW not the airport.

although there were a couple off 417 (so you will be paying a toll often)

Hi luckofthedraw, I have looked and I have a hotel that might work for you. Here is my thinking. Buena Vista Suites is just off the exit to RT 417 which is probably a 20 minute drive back to the airport This route brings you in the south entrance to the airport. You would drive right past the airport head out the north exit and you are at the hotel you need to be at. It is a very easy drive and no traffic which is the best thing. The Buena Vista Suites is just minutes from Disney about 1 1/2 miles from the hotel to Disney.

Since you are staying so long this hotel fits in for you. You can book a Queen 2 room suite that has two queen beds in the bedroom and a sleep sofa in the livingroom area. Everyone in your party gets a daily free American Breakfast buffet. The room has a full size refrigerator with a freezer and a microwave. These features will help you save money for the long stay. The free breakfast will help with your meal budget allowing you to spend more money for the other meals if you are using an expense account.
