We are planning a visit to SeaWorld in August. I know how oppressive the heat and humidity will be so a nice hotel pool is a must. Aquatica and the other water parks seem a bit costly for our young family of 4. Any awesome hotel pools near SeaWorld that you would recommend? Our daughters are 8 and 5 so a slide or spray zone would be perfect. TIA :thumbsup2

There is a really good package on the Sea World site, buy 3 get 5 free. We are staying at a Residence Inn 1 BR suite with free breakfast and length of stay tickets(they say they are good for 14 days) for SW and AQ. The price for us is under $800 for 5 nights, that is for 4 of us, although 1 of our kids is over 10 and pays the adult price.
RI just has a pool(no slide). The resorts near SW cost a lot more if you want a nice pool area. For us it was cheaper to do the package and have tickets to AQ. I hope this is helpful. If you only want a few nights, Caribe royale has a nice pool and slide and there are special rates on mousesavers.com

I was looking at the same deal. Tacking on Aquatica is a great idea. Thanks:thumbsup2

I've never stayed at this one, but I've heard great reviews of the pool at Marriott Harbour Lakes. It has a pirate themed pool with slides and other things. I believe it's right down the road from Sea World.

Marriot Harbour Lake is a great resort for kids. Pools are awesome and they have a lot of planned activities.

It's a timeshare resort so there are lots of places to look for a rental. You can sometimes rent directly from an owner for less than going through Marriott.

Marriot World Center is right down I-4 and has a huge pool. They are having a special right now; if you stay a certain number of nights, it includes seaworld tickets.

Another perk of this hotel is that if your balcony is facing I-4, you can see the Disney fireworks nightly. We're leaving tomorrow for Seaworld and we're staying here.

There's a new Springhill Suites/Fairfield Inn next to Aquatica opening 7/1 that is supposed to have a splash zone/interactive pool.

Also throwing out Caribe Royale--has a nice pool, with slide, maybe 5 minutes from SW along a pleasant stretch of I-Drive.

ADisneyQueen - we're doing the same deal at the RI at Seaworld in mid-August. If you go before then, let me know what you think of the hotel. The deal was just too good to pass up!:)

If you have a season pass- Rennaisance right across the street has a great deal right now-$69 a night. Just got an e-mail yesterday on that.

Also don't be afraid to try Price Line. My nephew just got a hotel close to Epcot for $25 a night. Place had a Mickey pool and they were able to have 2 adults and 3 kids in the room. they also got doubletree on the Beach for $50 including tax.

Marriott Grande Vista has great pools, too. They were warmer than Marriott Cyypress Harbour and Harbour Lakes. (but that was in January).
My kids love Grande Vista out of the 3 of those.
Sherato Vistana Villages is supposed to have a great pool area, too.

We just came back from a Sea World/Aquatica trip package at the Residence Inn. We had passes to both plus a nice one bedroom villa to spread out in. While we did swim in the hotel pool a bit we spent lots of time in Aquatica. My kids are 8 & 4 1/2 and they loved Aquatica!!! We would do Sea World during the day and then head over to Aquatica after a little rest break around 6:00 pm and stay till closing at 10:00. It was great, the sun was not so oppresssive and the later it gets the more people leave and the slide lines get empty!! When we arrived the lines were long about an hour and half later my 8 yo DD simply climbed up and slid down all the slides!!!!! It was wonderful. The Residence Inn has a nice hot breakfast every morning which got us going. They have a grill with a menu of sandwiches and salads plus a Pizza Hut express. It was nice to keep our leftovers in the fridge in our villa plus we bought a case of water to store in there - it was HOT.
