I'd use PL. Only bid 3*, if you have a late flight. At least one of the 2 1/2* properties doesn't offer a 24/7 complimentary shuttle. A $10 cab ride will wipe out your savings.
We stayed Monday night at the Holiday Inn Select Airport. 3* on Priceline for $65. I wanted the Hyatt but the Holiday Inn was nice. We got a king bed room on the 4th floor. Very quiet and very clean. They had a business center so I checked in for our 8AM Jet Blue flight and printed our boarding passes the night before.. We got to the airport at 6:20AM and there was NO line at security. We were so very early that we went to McDonalds for breakfast. This was my first attempt at using priceline for an Orlando Airport Hotel.
The Hyatt at MCO is where I would choose, we have stayed there before - excellent hotel, great service and you do not have to leave the airport.
Plus you have all the restaurants & shops within easy reach.
It is a very large room with a separate bedroom which is really nice..we can put the kids to sleep and stay in the living room portion and pack or relax...
It is close to the airport....maybe 5 minutes..in a nice location with several restaurants nearby.
We stayed at a Hilton Gardens it was nice. I believe that all the chains have a hotel near the airport, pick the one you have the best luck with. I would book soon because of the date you need a room. We used Expedia when we booked our room.
