yes yes yes, finally after 3 yrs of talking about this, my girlfriend said, lets do it, lets go to disney,
i m about to start a federal law enforcement job, so i ll be in training for a while,
this all depends on if i get called to traiing before the new year, then theres no vacation
ok , just wanted to fill everyone in

my gf wants a 4 night stay, i want 6, i ve been to the wilderness lodge and dont thing i ll be happy with anything else. but i would like some opinions on this,

whats a good january hotel, we wont have a car, so i would like the hotel to have some activities --A BAR--pool-even though it might be cold,

we have AAA, but am thinking about a annual pass if nice discounts come out

thanks for all your help

How fun for you and your GF! I'm with you...go for the 6 days if you can. Regarding where to stay, I agree that WL rocks! I've been there and it's great! But you know what? There are other WDW resorts that are just as great, IMHO! You say that you don't think you'd be happy anywhere else. Can you expound a bit? What is it about WL that you can't live without? If it is the theme, well then I will agree with you...go for WL again! But, if it's because of amenities, room size, restaurants, etc, then I would request you reconsider as there are lots of resorts that can compete with WL on level other than theme.

I would recommend AKL. There are things about AKL and WL that are the same (room size, room layout, big lobbies, excellent theming throughout), so other than theme, it isn't a big transition from the WL that you love so much. I think that AKL is just so romantic, and it would be a fun place to do a little cozy hibernating in between all of your park time. AKL has Boma and Jiko, which are wonderful restaurants. Where else could you stay, except on real safari, to view african animals from your resort/room? The pool is nice, and so is the hot tub. Victoria Falls Lounge is a great place to hang out and get a drink. You don't need to rent a car, as the WDW transportation will get you where you want to go on property, and AKL does not share buses with other WDW resorts! AKL also tends to offer some great discounted rates (similar to WL) through AP or codes (although I question if those great room-only codes are a thing of the past!)

Happy planning!

How about an Epcot resort since that park is open the latest in January then after a long day at the parks you can just walk home and be right at the BW too.

thank you both for some good ideas, the bw is a bit to high for my budget right now, but i did check out the akl, never thought of it before, and from looking at some photos i think that may be a place i will put on the top of my list,
thank you both so much

How about Swan or Dolphin? They have great discounts, great beds and can't beat the location.

I'd go for the AKL! So relaxing and romantic.
