Best hotel for a group? High School band trip next June.

My son's band will be spending two full days at Disneyland summer 2017. I have been asked to sit down with the band director this summer and help plan the trip. I know he loves the Embassy Suites because he can fit lots of kids in each room so he may not budge! On site is out of our price range. We are from a small town so the band is no more than 75 people. I'd check out the Desert Inn right across the street! They have suites that sleep 10!

Howard Johnson is where a lot of the dance troups stay with organised tour groups. Not sure about the rates but saw lots of them there on our last stay so they may be able to offer you something

The Grand Legacy at the Park (formerly the Ramada Maingate) works well for groups.

I recommend getting on the phone and calling around. Ask about how many per room and the cost per room. Also take into consideration things like free breakfast (which with a large group can save quite a bit).

Our band group always uses Embassy Suites because of the space and the free breakfast.

My daughter's orchestra is staying at the Clarion. I guess they have a room the orchestra can use for rehearsals.

We saw a lot of young groups at the SpringHill Suites. I assume they have good group rates. We had a convention rate that was ok but their rack rates seem high. They did have free breakfast.
