We are working on logistics for booking our makeup trip since Irma goofed ours up. We were planning on waiting until Dec. 2018 but my parents have some DVC points we need to use sooner so I mean, if we MUST, we're going back sooner! :)

We have been to WDW during these months but never for any of these specific holiday weekends. Due to limited time off work (thanks Irma!) and coordinating schedules with multiple family members, we need to tack on 2 or 3 days to a holiday weekend if we want to go.

If you had to pick one, would you do ..

MLK Day weekend
Presidents Day weekend in February
Memorial Day weekend

I know to expect crowds on all of them, but does anyone have a favorite of these 3?

I am leaning towards Memorial Day just because there is time until the ADR booking date and the others are already booking. Maybe I'd appreciate the extra planning time and not being behind on booking ADRs, but if there are reasons to do Presidents or MLK over Memorial Day, perhaps I'd just let that go and be diligent about finding some key ADRs. After all, we don't NEED table service, though we like to have a few.

Thoughts? Disney dilemmas are the best dilemmas.

Memorial Day weekend does offer you the most planning time, so that can be a plus. If it was me, I'd do Memorial Day but mostly because of the weather. Just my opinion.

I don't recommend Presidents' Day. That is the weekend of the Princess Races and the Daytona 500. DVC rooms have been extremely hard to book for that weekend.

I believe the Princess races are either the weekend before or after. My son's birthday is President's Day (well, some years) and I don't recall it ever interfering. We've also been there for that holiday week and really enjoyed it. Crowds were very low except for the actual holiday weekend. I think MLK would be the same; I think the marathon is the weekend before. We've been Memorial Day too, and yes, it's warmer (which is better if you want to do a water park), but it's definitely more crowded, and the crowds seem to grow each day around that time. The only months we've never been are January and September, so I'd prob pick January just to try it! LOL

cgattis, you are correct about the Princess race dates. The last couple of years, the race had coincided with Presidents' Day weekend. And thankfully, the Daytona 500 also does not conflict with the Princess races this year. That traffic is a killer when trying to leave Orlando on I4.

Personally I don't do well in warm weather. I went one year at the end of May/early June (post Memorial Day) and it was just too hot for me. I typically go during the MLK weekend and into the following week. Sometimes it's warm and perfect weather and other times you need a jacket/gloves/scarves. You just have to watch the weather to know what to pack.

I don't know how many schedules you are trying to coordinate, but I'm not having very many troubles finding ADRs for our travel party of two for this January (MLK weekend!), but we are also flexible as to when we eat and where we eat.
