Best gyms in DVC ?

Kadani has really nice gym. It has huge windows and makes you feel like your in the tropics it is next to the pool. It is really spaced out well. Great bathrooms. Lots of good equipment.
This post has the pics so you can see for yourself.

I like the gym at beach club, it's small but usually empty. I don't lift but I do cardio. The ice cream parlor is right next door lol
An honest question: Why in the world do people run on treadmills, or ride stationary bikes in Disney? You should be getting TONS of cardio just by walking the parks. You're inside a wonderful area - jog around your resort, jog around EPCOT or the boardwalk in the early morning hours. Jog the trails. Instead you're staring at a wall or a TV?

Running at Disney is an absolute favorite of mine. We’re at Saratoga Springs right now and had an amazing time running there this week. The dreadmill would be a last resort and I’d probably rather skip a run then be on it, especially at Disney.

I'll be heading to Saratoga for the first time in the summer where would you recommend running? Any place in particular? How far do you usually run?

I did a 5 mile and 8 mile run there this week. We often stay in the grandstand section so I head out to the treehouse loop, do a couple laps there then take the bridge by the bus stop over to the nature path that goes to Old Key West. I run to Hospitality House and the take a left onto Millers Rd, take it to the end and then head back to Saratoga. Where I go then there depends on how many miles I’m looking for that day. Sometimes around the perimeter of SSR, or the lake, or out by Disney Springs. You’ll find lots of options and if you go early you’ll be able to catch some shade from that summer sun!

Wow that's very impressive. I'm a little bit older now than when I used to be so my runs are usually about 4 miles. And I try to run on the soft surface such as grass. I assume I just be able to run next to the hard path on the grass.

We typically visit WDW during the summer and I love running in the EARLY morning. As in, I see the sunrise on my run. After the sun is up? I'll take the treadmill in the air-conditioned gym, thanks! Even still, I was working out with DD on our last trip and she was definitely not up for a morning run. I found the gym to not be nearly cold enough, especially with the FL humidity.

I sent my question about the showers at the SSR gym to Disney, and they actually answered it on the “PlanDisney” page! So here you go:

“I just spoke with a helpful Cast Member at Saratoga Springs Resort who informed me that while the fitness center is open and available 24 hours per day, the health club where the showers are located is open daily from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. So, as long as your son has his MagicBand or mode of room entry with him, he should be able to get in an early morning workout and then hit the showers as early as 6:00 a.m. before meeting you in the parks. Happy and healthy New Year!”
