Best guesses--date for back-to-normal after holidays?

I popped over to the holiday thread, but my eyes crossed quickly

I'm working on getting my January trip planned. I'm hoping to make it after the holiday decor is removed, and things are back to "normal." I know all the downsides of going at this time--increased closures/refurbs, unknown weather issues, etc., but it's just a few weeks before we normally go, so I'm all good with it.

Really, I'm just trying to figure out when I could reasonably expect things to be back to normal and (maybe!) back up after having holidays removed.

Here's what I'm thinking. Three Kings Day/Epiphany is 1/6/18, and that's usually when they keep the decorations up until. So, does it usually take 1 week, or 2 weeks to remove it all? Would you do the week of the 15th, or hedge the bets and go for the week of the 22nd? I have 2 free nights at Stovalls just waiting for me to use, and my flight money all ready to go... Just need to figure out what week would be better so that I can make the ressies!

We were there Jan 6-15, 2017, I think. If I remember correctly, holiday meet n greets and fireworks went on til Jan 8, at least, and there were still some decorations, Cars land is one example, on the 15th, though most were down by then.

My guess: Holidays full swing through January 7. Haunted Mansion will close for removal of overlay January 8. Can't remember exactly how long it takes to remove HM overlay, but I think it comes up sometime soon after Martin Luther King weekend if no additional downtime is planned. Once Haunted Mansion comes back up, It's a Small World usually goes down within a day or two to remove its overlay. Small World is probably the last holiday thing to change back over.

Starting the week that the Holidays end & Haunted Mansion closes to remove the overlay is historically a slow(er) time. We have gone several times during this week and it was great.
