Best guess for March

Hello,
just started planning for a March trip to S. California. Unfortunately for me (not DH) we are not staying at DLR and will only do 1-2 day trips from Carlsbad. I am trying to figure out how busy it will be for our week. We will be in California March 21-28. I was thinking to go Tues, Wed or Thursday (24-26).

According to something I read DLR's Spring Break doesn't start until March 27th (?). I can't really reference last year's calendar because that also included Easter--I know this because I didn't plan ahead and scheduled a trip to WDW last year on these exact same dates and it was also Easter week....which was VERY busy.

The crowds will be getting bigger by the end of March, for sure. Lots of schools observe spring break then. Not as busy as April though.

Going during the week will help. Also, check the park hours and see how late they are open during the week. If it is midnight, then they are anticipating larger crowds.

I didn't think I'd be able to get their March hours but lo and behold, Disney travel had my March week!! Maybe this will help someone else:

DL - March 21 & 22 (sat & sun) 8:00-midnight
March 23 (monday) 8:00 - 11:00
24-25-26 (t,w,th) 9:00-11:00
27 (fri) 8:00-midnight

DCA - Sat 10:00-9:00
Sun 10:00-10:00
M-th 10:00-7:00
Fri 10:00-9:00

So what does it all mean in terms of crowds? Based on what you said, crowded....

Good info on the park hours.

My guess is that they are anticipating higher crowds, which isn't really surprising. Middle to end of March is the official start to spring break.

MM would be on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, unless that has changed in the last year, but I don't believe it has. It will tell you for sure on the DL website calander.
