Best graduation present ever! July 2012 PTR

How adorable. My son is going to be done with kindergarten already. I can't believe how quickly time goes by. Congrats to you and your son!

Thanks :) I am not ready for him to start Kindergarten at all! I am going to be one of those mommy's that take pictures of him getting on the bus then follows the bus to the school to make sure he gets there safe :sad1:

I had to tweak a couple of my ADRs yesterday. I moved our Via Napoli meal on arrival night up to 7 instead of 7:45 so we could eat and get out of there before Illuminations starts (plans for that later in the week). This way I am hoping to be able to get over to MK in time to see the Electric Parade. I think that would be an amazing way to start the week off. I am still torn between having a nice leisurely afternoon at DTD or heading straight for MK. I just know it is going to be super hot and crowded at noon. And we will be tired and cranky from traveling. Just don't want to get her down before we even start the trip. I think I will stick with DTD for lunch, then head over to Epcot around 3ish to tour World Showcase and have dinner at 7. Then head to MK for a few hours after.

The other ADR I changed is our Kona breakfast later in the week. I really want Dani to see the opening show and every MK day I have planned is an EMH morning. So...I pushed back the ADR until 9:35 so we can catch a bus to MK just before opening to watch the show, then hop on the monorail or boat and go over to the Poly for the most yummy breakfast of all :cool1: That day is pretty much open for planning, so we can either head back over to MK, hop a bus to AK, or just do some resort hopping. We'll see what we feel like on our last full day.

I think these new plans sound great; everyone should see the opening show at least once. And KONA IS YUMMY!

Yeah, no way I was going to cancel this reservation! It's my favorite  I was kinda surprised I had no problem moving either of these reservations with only 6 weeks to go. I thought you had to make reservations right at the 180 day mark and here I am with only 6 weeks and there was plenty of availability. And it is during free dining too :confused3

The beautiful graduate!

She did a wonderful job on her Valedictorian speech and she walked away with not only her diploma, but a ton of awards, scholarships, plaques and trophies. So proud of my little cousin!

They are in New York City right now for their project graduation. She was going to Ground Zero, the Central Park Zoo, Statue of Liberty and a whole lot more. Then she has a busy month ahead before we go south to see Mickey :cool1:

Thanks Kathy. I had to steal that picture from my mom, I didn't even take my camera! This picture was taken after her celebration dinner before graduation. Their graduation was from 7-9 at night and it was really hard to get good pics after dark. Glad she thought to bring her cap and gown to the dinner ;) She's a smartie :thumbsup2

Yep she is

And now you know your TR left a lasting impression on me....just couldn't remember who wrote it :lmao: I remembered how I loved the Pixie Dust in your hair and thought it was such a great little tip that lots of people don't know about. Was just trying to share that tip with you!

Thanks D! She is a good kid.

The hair is something they did at the barber shop on Main Street. It was funny...Mo posted a thread asking for advice on what her friend could do for a 16th birthday at WDW. Someone mentioned the BBB, but they only take up to age 12. So I said that I had seen on someone's TR that they got "Pixie Dusted" at the barber shop. I thought that would be a nice thing kinda like BBB but much cheaper. Turns out it was Mo's TR I saw it on! :lmao: Glad I could help her remember her own TR :rotfl: Good thing I didn't say something like "just don't go to the barber shop. They do this dumb pixie dust thing. It looks stupid". Yeah, that would've been kinda awkward ;)

No, but I really liked it and I am thinking of making an appointment there for Dani and I at some point in the trip.

ROFL! That is too funny!

Excellent idea for a Sweet 16... I have 3 girls going for just that occasion in 2014

LOL - I was wondering about that.... I can't imagine how hard it must be to get out. :confused3 Can you tell me if you have to make reservations for this? If so, how many days out?

D~ <--- Sorry Suzi for the mini-hijack... you know you are welcome to hijack my TR anytime. :coffee:

No worries....I was wondering about the reservation thing too. And the only thing I am worried about is getting it all out after. :scared1: But I still think it would be worth it. I'll tip Mousekeeping REALLY well :thumbsup2

We got our ME voucher and luggage tags! Yay!

And I printed off some cute Mousekeeping envelopes. They just printed flat then I folded and glued them. They look a little more professional than the ones I did for my Feb trip, but I'm sure the Mousekeepers don't care what they look like. I just loved the fun characters!

Cute??

We've had a pretty crazy horrible time here the past couple of days. My grandfather was taken to the hospital the night before last with what they thoguht was pnuemonia, but has since been re-diagnosed as a kidney problem. We are still waiting on results from a handful of tests. We were all pretty worried yesterday, but things are looking up today. They said whatever absess is on his kdney is not malignant. They don't really know what it is, but they think he will be fine. Just waiting on some blood tests. Looks like he will be home tomorrow, but keep him in your toughts just in case. Bradey loves his Papa sooo much! He and my grandmother take care of him everyday while I work.
