I'm thinking of taking my parents to Gatorland. What's the best price anyone has seen? What's to do there besides look at gators? Can we eat gators too?

I have never been there but plan on going in December. I went on ebay and paid $6.00 for two 2 for 1 coupons that were taken out of an Orlando Entertainment book. Just type a search for Gatorland there.

So, you need to have one coupon for each free person? We're going to have 8 people total.

We've never been there either, but have discussed going in the past. You'll have to let us know how it goes!
Here's a link to a coupon you may already know about:
http://www.orlandocoupons.com/directory_view.php?ad_id=19

It looks like the regular price is: $22.99 adult and $14.99 child over 3. The coupon is good for a full day admission on an adult and can be used 4 times (Just print out 2 and have someone else use it).

They have a show where the gators jump out of the water to eat a chicken, that is worth seeing.

You can hold a small live gator and get your photo taken with it.

They sell uncooked hot dogs for you to feed the gators, buy a few packs and walk way into the back of the park, feed the gators there. Most people will buy the hot dogs, take a few steps, throw a hot dog and the gators won't move. These guys are full cause they get lots of hot dogs. If you walk to the back, and feed them, they chase after what you throw like a real dog will chase down a snack.

Been a few years since we have been there, just keep your expectations low and you'll have a great time. If you expect it to be disney-like, you're setting yourself up for a giant let down.

More gators than you will ever see again. Had one gator there 16 feet long, they caught him near tampa and was eating peoples dogs. When they put him in with other gators he would kill them so he had his own area. Do exactly as above poster said but also the gators get more active the warmer it gets in the day. If you go to there website they have a live camera feed to look around from the tower.

My husband and I went to Gatorland last Sunday and I wasn't excited at all. I was actually scared but I thought ok my husband really wants to do this so I will take one for the team. :lmao: Well I am so glad I did. We had a awesome time and the gators are so close. My husband got to feed a bunch of gators that were only four feet away, he got to get his picture taken sitting on one, and also got picked to hold a snake. He was in his glory.

One thing that I wouldn't do is the Swamp Walk. This is beyond crazy!! It is acres of natural swamp and you see everything back there. I walked in for like a second and a huge rat snake was on the path thats when I ran my butt out of there. My husband went in a little farther but I think he was a bit scared himself. :rotfl2:

All in all I had a great time and what a wonderful staff they have there. Very great employees that do crazy things. When we go back in March I think my husband might do a night tour of the park. This is where all you have is a flashlight and everything comes out at night. Its only $20 but I for sure won't be going!!:rotfl::rotfl:

Gatorland is really a pretty neat place to go.
There is a program I keep saying I want to do where you go there at night. Maybe this Fall I will finally get around to it. :)
I have seen coupons in Entertainment books. I am guessing if you see coupon books around this area they would have some too.

Yes you do. It's pay for one get one in free. See on ebay. You get two coupons for $5.99 but there are multiple offers so you just need to purchase 2 offers for a total of 4 coupons for your 8 people. At $5.99 for each 2 coupons you get, four of your party will get in free and you will be saving about $68.00. I was sent my coupons within a week.
